FYI, gonna take me a bit to level up. I expect I’ll be ready by tomorrow at the latest. Thankfully, Sorcerer Level 2 doesn’t offer much in the way of choices, so it’s mostly just figuring out what to do with the money and actually being able to sit down at a PC.

Got the starting post in, feel free to continue leveling up. We can start slow and pick up our momentum as we move along.

Profession Courtesan: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Fen Vion's chronicle has been added.

Thanks GM! Prakriti will be continuing on at Normal pace. Will also take me a couple of days to get leveled up, I expect as it has been a busy week at work and not as much free time as I'd like.

Urzaia's stats have been updated. He's a little stronger, but a little less nimble; a little less hearty, but a touch smarter. He's trading out his weapon and armor for a Cold Iron Morningstar (it worked so nicely) and a suit of full plate. He's also calling in a favor to get a Wand of Cure Light Wounds (2 PP).

![]() |

Having looked it over, I'll also grab a Wand of Magic Missile... and probably trade in my crossbow and bolts (which I should be able to do at full price, since you can "rebuild" at 1st level, correct?).

![]() |

Yeah the rebuild rules say that is fine. Magic Missile Wand is on par with the Crossbow, so not a bad idea.

I’m also not nearly as likely to miss with it :P
Now to figure out what the heck a second-level Sorcerer does with 1500gp... especially with the restrictions on purchases in PFS. Open to suggestions!

![]() |

If you want to mess with people the Kitsune way, there are these bracers that allow you to change your clothes on the fly.
Costs 200gp so your prestige allows you to easily buy them.
Stubborn Nail can also be fun if used properly.
The Traveler's Any-Tool is also a handy item.

And in a few levels you can pick up Nethys' gift to wizards, the quarter staff of entwined serpents

Save up for your headband is one answer.
Or get a cloak of resistance.
Those are the boring but sensible options.

That is pretty cool. Not seen it before.
Especially if you meet incorporeal enemies: I can do this all day...
I’ve got a level 6 wizard, might get her this around level 7/8.

Wow, loving the responses so far! Y'all are quick!
Messing with people the kitsune way is 100% the goal here; those sleeves look like a lot of potential fun! "Of course I'm an Aspis agent, can't you see my uniform?"
Stubborn Nail is interesting, but I'm trying to think of potential uses. Might pick one up and see what possibilities appear.
Traveler's Any-Tool is great, and I'm not sure why I forgot it. Definitely grabbing it!
That quarterstaff is very neat, maybe by the time I can afford it, my wand will be used up :P
Definitely considered the cloak, but that brings me to my next question...
It says on the document that you need at least 5 Fame to purchase anything that's not on the list of always-available items (armor, weapons, low-level potions/oils/scrolls, and wayfinders). Am I reading that correctly? If so, I can't grab any of those until I get one more Fame at least.

My whip build -
Vigilante with Stalker Specialization;
Acquire vigilante talent; Whip of Vengeance (Source Inner Sea Intrigue). Gives you Whip Mastery as a bonus feat, Improved Whip Mastery at level 6, and treats your level as your BAB for feats and abilities that have Whip Mastery as a prereq.
Acquire Lunge Feat.
Acquire Whirlwind.
Can start combat with a Whirlwind hidden strike attack with a whip up to 25ft radius. Since Spring Attack is a prereq, you can utilize that to attack on the run or take advantage of enemy positioning.
Downside is its feat heavy, but the feats are all combat based on a 6+ skill class, so it's relatively balanced.

I know it’s good form to get a CLW wand but I figure that three charges from the boon wand and a level in bard should do for healing.
If I end up leaning on anyone, I’ll get one before the third part.

I'll admit that my knowledge of the Rangers extends only to their color schemes...
Rondolpho, you can probably attack a goblin if you want-- that movement would be 6 squares to be right of him and only 5 to get to the upper-right. Not saying you have to, but in case you weren't aware.

![]() |

Waiting to see party positioning before I figure out a casting—I was considering readying a Daze against anyone that moves in to flank Mivvy, but you guys might be shutting that down anyway.

DM, just a reminder, I needed to play the part we just finished at SLOW pace for my chronicle receiving purposes, as I don’t want to level out of the game. No day job.
For part three, I will go back to NORMAL track.

So, I’m taking another level of bard and then going straight swashbuckler.
Any suggestions for a good 1st level bard spell? Something that will be useful for the life of the character?

![]() |

My recommendations are mainly buffs or utilities that enemies can’t Save out of when your DC fails to keep up with their defenses. With that in mind, I still ended up with a fair list of useful ones. The ones marked with a (!!!) are the ones I’d consider most useful in PFS as a swashbuckler c:
(And of course since these are all on your spell list, they’d make good wands as well.)
Alarm
Anticipate Peril
Comprehend Languages(!!!)
Dazzling Blade(!!!)
Detect X
Feather Fall
Heightened Awareness
Moment of Greatness
Saving Finale
Share Language
Tap Inner Beauty
Vanish

![]() |

Hmm, I’m tempted by feather fall because it wont work in a wand.
Saving Finale could be pretty clutch though.

Liberating Command is a favorite. I usually prep 1.
