Here i begin :)

Metal armor and shields are anathema to druids.
A druid that gets armor proficiency of fighter/paladin multiclass can gain access to heavy armor.

-> Is there any non special material (like darkwood) heavy armor that isn't made of metal ?

Could it be legit to call for full plate made of turtle shell or other exotic material that doesn't give gameplay benefits out of not been made of metal ?

***

Message cantrip has a verbal component. Command animal is also a verbal thing.

-> If you want to command your animal companion at distance and remain silent, do you need to spend 2 actions or could it be considered that the cantrip action is part of the command animal action ?

***

During exploration, you might encounter animals. Charm spells and diplomacy especially for druids can lead to friendly animals.

-> Can these animals become Animal Companions ? How do you proceed ?

***

Most spellcasters have their key skill they can use to learn a spell. This can be used by any of them except sorcerers if i get i right.

-> Do that learning concerns only spells that are rare or uncommon ?

***

-> Is there any mean to provide an existing weapon a trait it doesn't have initially such as the "finesse" trait ?

When you cast a polymorph spell, it is said that you gear is absorbed into you and that it's constant abilities remain active.

-> Do that means that wearing a non magical +4 armor you use the spell writen AC +4 from your gear or do the constant abilities refer to magical bonuses only ? Same question for weapons wielded when transforming concerning damage bonuses.

***

It's said in case of losing an animal companion that you can replace it at no cost during downtime.

-> Can you change your animal and the abilities chosen or do you have to stick to the previous choices ?

I've been looking for that as well.

RAW, it does seem like Darkwood is your only possible choice if you want heavy armor that a Druid can wear withut incurring penalties.

RAI, I'm not certain because p.177 does state "Most suits of armor and weapons are made from ordinary, commonly available materials like iron, leather, steel, and wood."

I could see someone using this to justify that their heavy armor is made from chitin or stone (dwarf plate anybody?) and thus is not metal armor.
It says "most suits", not "all suits" after all. And I certainly don't think stone or bark would qualify for the denomination of rare, special material.

My own DM ruled that all heavy armors are made of metal and I can only have Darkwood heavy armor for my Druid.

This is an issue because the price is quite prohibitive and items made from special materials do not have a level tag.
Maybe a Darkwood plate is a level 8 item and I could have picked it up much earlier for my regular treasure but, at the moment, I have no idea.

Which makes me want to ask the following:

-> What is the corresponding item level for an item made of each one of the special materials presented in the CRB?

Surely, it won't take much extra space to add item level for each special material in the final version.

Armors made of other materials are more of a GM kind of question.

I believe you can only have one actual animal companion at a time. You could befriend other animals but they don't gain the benefits that a full animal companion would. Again, more of a GM question. They would probably gained the frightened condition in combat similar to a non warhorse.

Currently, no, but a property rune could be made to do such a thing.

+1 and up armors and weapons are inherently magical but since they are absorbed, you would only get certain benefits from them. For instance, you would not gain the +1 to hit since you aren't using the weapon and it's properties that trigger on using the weapon wouldn't apply. You also wouldn't gain the +1 to AC or TAC but I think you would gain the increase to saving throws.

Can you change your animal and the abilities chosen or do you have to stick to the previous choices ?
During downtime you can change out entire feats so yes, you could retrain your animal companion completely given enough down time.

Thanks for your answers.

@Zioalca: What about AC non magical bonuses from armors ? Do they add to AC written on polymorph spells ?

I don't think so. Each polymorph spell sets a fixed value for your AC and the only way to influence that is to use the Druid's Vestments.

Agreed. I think what they are referring to are abilities from property runes, such as the antimagic rune on page 372. As far as weapons are concerned, if you were to activate a Dancing rune on a weapon and then wildshape, I would imagine the weapon would continue fighting. Dancing is the only weapon rune property I see that would continue working after you transform though.
