If we have a Bag of Holding we should have a Bag of Resonance

Skills, Feats, Equipment & Spells

Since the Bag of Holding makes the entire Bulk system irrelevant after no investment other than a little gold, we should add a bag of Resonance that contains a bunch of extra resonance that characters can use for free each day.

I don't know about that. Seems overpowered to have infinite resonance, whereas the bag of holding is balanced by requiring resonance to both be usable for the day, and every time it's used.

What would balance the bag of resonance? Maybe if it were an item that summoned pixies which you could then pay gold to to restore your resonance?

A couple updates ago they actually changed it that it only requires investment. You don't need to spend resonance to store/retrieve items. It's still somewhat balanced with bulk by requiring resonance to invest, where a strong character who has a bunch of bulk below their limit won't need it nearly as much.

Also, I suspect that the OP wasn't suggesting unlimited resonance, but some amount of extra resonance. While that still does, IMO, invalidate the whole point of resonance, which is to provide a counterbalance to gold as the only resource when considering items, and as such I don't think it's a good idea, it's not as entirely flawed as infinite resonance.

After they do the Bag of Crits.

I'd rather have a Bag of Accounting.

Bag of Accounting: when you invest this item, a designer from Paizo comes at your home to do the accountancy of every mini-gauge of your character: bulk (up to the 1/100), resonance, charge per day of your items, spell points, wild shape points, canalization points, HP, etc.

Bag of Holding doesn't require investment.

I'm just saying that if they're going to put items in the game that cost 80 gold and let the 8 STR Wizard carry 24 extra bulk, there should be an 80 gold item that lets my CHA 8 Dwarf Fighter bling out or chug an extra 2 dozen potions a day. Fair is fair.

I think they meant it to require investment, but you're right, it does not have that tag.

I'm sorry, but negating bulk and carrying issues isn't nearly the same as negating the thing made to restrict access to magic items.

I agree that resonance in it's current form isn't great, but they've already said they're going to address it and that it probably wont include consumables anymore.

Yeah that's not equivalent. The wizard can buy a bag of holding. Okay, he can also buy a packmule or ask someone stronger to carry some of his stuff. I could see a magic item that increases resonance a little, but not 2 dozen potions worth.

A dwarf can buy a bag of Resonance. Okay, he can also hire someone to cast spells or use wands on him, or he can just ask his wizard friend to help him out.

The only difference is that one item is more helpful to spell casters and less helpful to martials who can't just cast spells on themselves to get around the need for potions and magic items.
