Simple question; Does this allow a Goblin to wield a medium-sized musket?
Long question; Has there been an errata on this that clearly defined the purpose of this feat? Because if a Goblin becomes Tiny or Medium, the rules get quite messed up for RAW, so what is this feat supposed to do? Can it allow a Goblin to wield a firearm one category larger without a problem? Or is it meant to essentially be useless? Because there's no reason to wield a one-handed medium-sized firearm, over a small-sized musket.
I've seen arguments both ways, so I'm only looking for a reply from a Paizo official on this one. The past 30 minutes of Googling has been very divisive.

Goblin Gunslinger says "You can wield Medium firearms without taking the penalty for an inappropriately sized weapon." And this is a Goblin Racial Feat that requires that you be a Goblin. While I can think of a few cases where you can get a medium sized race to count as a goblin, I can't even think of a valid tiny sized race much less one that could qualify as a goblin.
So really, you can use medium sized guns as a small character. Or a medium sized character. Or a large character if you go that far. Tiny even. It does what it says. Very explicitly.
So since my answer is obviously not going to be good enough for the OP I can only wish them luck and patience. I don't believe anyone official will reply.

Reduce person on a goblin results in a tiny sized goblin which they can then pick up their medium sized gun and use it freely.

Yes they can or the feat is pointless.
If the pc gunslinger in my campaign is reduced to a smaller size he will continue to be able to use guns one size larger than him. If an enlarge spell was used on him I would allow him to use guns one size larger than his new size.
I am slightly less certain about the interactions of him, guns and a large size steam powered battle suit but most campaigns don't have the steam suits
If you are not going to let a goblin with this feat use a medium musket just be honest and ban the feat so your player does not take a wasted feat

The wording of the feat says differently, it does not allow you to use a weapon one size category bigger than your self with out penalty it allows you to use a medium sized weapon with out any penalty, so you could be small, tiny, medium or large and still be able to use a medium sized gun with no issues.

Just giving this a bump, maybe to hopefully get the attraction of a PFS Judge, or any kind of staff, really.
That's the whole point to this forum, right?
Nope, this forum is to ask other players for answers. Paizo staff rarely ever intervene directly unless some one is getting out of hand then they simply either delete comments or lock the thread.

This is not what the feat says.
The feat doesn't bypass the handedness restrictions. It just removes the to hit penalties when you try to use inappropriately sized weapons.
So no, you can't use a medium sized musket. Nor can a tiny pc use a medium sized pistol
ie: you could wield a medium pistol (still needing two hands). Which is normally when you take the -2 penalty. You could not use said pistol at all, if you were made tiny, as its not possible (due to the afore mentioned handedness stuff)

"The measure of how much effort it takes to use a weapon (whether the weapon is designated as a light, one-handed, or two-handed weapon for a particular wielder) is altered by one step for each size category of difference between the wielder’s size and the size of the creature for which the weapon was designed. For example, a Small creature would wield a Medium one-handed weapon as a two-handed weapon. If a weapon’s designation would be changed to something other than light, one-handed, or two-handed by this alteration, the creature can’t wield the weapon at all." -last paragraph in Weapon Size.
Interesting. So if you made a Goblin Gunslinger you could eventually get made into a permanently large sized creature and use 2 medium sized pistols as light weapons to minimize the penalty for two weapon fighting and not take a size penalty.

Handedness has no effect on pure ranged weapons a large ranged weapon uses the same amount of hands as a small one.

Size is relevant to what you can use though.
The feat in question does not allow you to bypass the size of the weapon.
It merely allows you to ignore the -2 attack penalty (that your apparently get) for using an inappropriately sized one.
From the FAQ: 'Small character can’t use a two-handed firearm sized for a Medium or larger creature.'
