The latest Twitch interview with Stephen hints that resonance might get overhauled/axed and some spell nerfs will be rolled back, so I'm pretty sure Paizo is taking feedback seriously.
This is backed by Bulmahn's comments at Saturday's 2e panel at Dragoncon (not about Resonance per-say), negative feelings about Ancestries, 4th iteration of the Dying rules, getting the Witch sooner rather than later (probably still not in the Core book), [REDACATED], etc

The Witch? Seriously? Sigh. I thought leaving the Witch OUT of P2e was one of the better moves.

Still, what were the negative feelings about Ancestries? They are limited, for certain, but that's one of those things I expected to see expanded on....no?

And the dying rules are great as is.

Sorry. Off topic from the 'when', but we seem to have veered off course anyways.

I think the main complaint is that too few of the features that a character should have been born with or had from a very early pre-adventuring age are available at 1st level. Even without knowing exactly what other ancestry feats they will come up with at or after the official PF2 release, it seems evident that the current structure is at least one feat short for realizing many character concepts from PF1.

There's an entire country of Witches in Pathfinder's Golarion setting and it's a well loved class for the most part so it was never going to be left out.

And the Ancestry complaints run the gamut over the forums. Too limited, awkward getting them over 20 levels, half-elves/orcs not being a thing anymore, etc etc etc

But half orcs and half elves are a thing. I have a half orc in my game right now.

They do not have an ancestry of their own, but are offshoots of the Human Ancestry.

From what I understand, a trial/experiment. If it works, something that could allow "half" races for a lot of races, not just the two half humans ones that exist now.

Works well, IMHO

Welll that country was already there long before the Advanced Players Guide or even the Pathfinder RPG was a thing.

Personally I wouldn't miss the witch class if it were to never come back. All the times I had to run witch NPCs I found the class rather lackluster and weak, with the one overpowered exception of the sleep hex.

And the country was incentive for them to make the Witch class. The Designers and Writers and lots of players love the Witch.

My experience with them was that their spell list was too limited, that shouldn't be an issue now the way spell lists are done in PF2 (although casting in general probably needs a good de-nerfing). And a new edition is a perfect chance to fix the lackluster mechanics of the class and expand on the existing flavor of casters who get their powers from mysterious patrons and hexes. I think Witches having a variable spell list depending on patron would work well. It'd also be nice to get around the contradiction in PF1 where Witches can be any alignment, but a good chunk of their abilities and spells were evil.

Similarly Oracles can be focused more on their mysteries and curses instead of being just a divine sorcerer, considering that those exist now. PF2 is a perfect chance to improve some of the problematic classes as well as get a bit deeper into the flavor of them. I'm really curious as to how PF2 Inquisitors will go (one of my favorite characters is an inquisitor, so there is that. But he won't likely be moved over to PF2 because he's mythic as well and that likely won't come over to PF2).
