How is not having general surveys open now a good idea? Who cares about what Doomsday Dawn is like, shouldn't the devs be interested in how the actual playtest rules work?
I gave my two cents about those things in the Lost Star survey anyway, but it didn't feel right. And I have this nagging feeling it's going to end up in the bin as off-topic.
I think they want folks to finish Doomsday Dawn so they have a more complete foundation before asking for general impressions. Like, I've already spotted at least one way the skill DCs in the lost star aren't reflective of the playtest as a whole. But lots of folks have played the first section and complained about the lock picking DCs being too high.
Basically, we will all be better informed later than we are now and that will make our impressions more valuable.

DD is designed to test specific aspects of PF2 that they want tested. It's not just a random storyline they had sitting around. They put it together to check X number of encounters against Y lv opponents and Z non-combat solutions.
