Metakinesis (Empower)-where do I multiply

Rules Questions

As the title of the thread. Empower Metamagic states, "All variable, numeric effects of an empowered spell are increased by half including bonuses to those dice rolls." This makes it seem to me that my kinetic blast would do (3d6+15)*1.5, but I have seen a lot of different people saying multiply in different places in the googling I have done, however even though there were quite a few different interpretations none of them were using that method. So my question is this; what constitutes a bonus to the roll. If my damage calculation is [3d6+3]+6(con)+4(overflow)+1(wysp familiar)+1(PBS) where do I insert the *1.5?

The way I've always had it explained to me is the dice and the elemental overflow bonus are added first, then that result is multiplied by 1.5, then any other bonuses like PBS.

And that makes sense to me, but one of the things I have seen a couple of times is people saying the overflow is not multiplied at all, but the con is, or just the 3d6 are, or the 3d6+3 is whats multiplied. It's been really hard to get a straight answer.

Yeah, there's definitely some debate. I think the key phrase here is "including bonuses to those dice rolls". The consideration, then, is whether or not something is a bonus to your dice roll.

PBS? You get a +1 bonus on "damage rolls". That certainly sounds like a bonus to your dice roll. Overflow? You get a bonus to your damage rolls, same as PBS. As far as I can tell, anything calling itself a bonus to your damage rolls can be multiplied by Empower Spell (and thus the Metakinesis). The *1.5 should be placed after all of those.

from Kineticist class, Metakinesis (Su)
At 5th level, a kineticist gains the ability to alter her kinetic blasts as if with metamagic feats by accepting burn. By accepting 1 point of burn, she can empower her kinetic blast (as if using Empower Spell). At 9th level, by accepting 2 points of burn, she can maximize her kinetic blast as if using Maximize Spell. At 13th level, by accepting 3 points of burn, she can quicken her kinetic blast as if using Quicken Spell.

The various abilities tell you whether they add to the dice rolls or the total damage. It's tricky at times. Yes, 1.5*((die roll)+(die bonuses)).
Empower FAQ

IMO +CON(+elemental subtype, clear yes as it's part of the ability) +Elemental Overflow(+elemental subtype, clear yes) +Wysp familiar(+comp bonus, yes BUT Kineticists within 30 feet who share the wysp’s element gain a +1 competence bonus on attack rolls and damage roll and creatures of same elemental subtype gain bonuses) +PBS(if Point-Blank Shot then +1 unnamed type, yes). So 1.5*(3d6+15) if you meet all the conditions.

The FAQ uses the words "numerical bonus" and then uses cure moderate wounds as an example stating "the +50% from the feat applies to the 2d8 and to the level-based bonus". Numerical bonus is a pretty wide term but a few GMs might limit things like the Wysp and Point-Blank shot bonuses based on the example but that's not a simple core reading of RAW.
