The way I've always had it explained to me is the dice and the elemental overflow bonus are added first, then that result is multiplied by 1.5, then any other bonuses like PBS.

And that makes sense to me, but one of the things I have seen a couple of times is people saying the overflow is not multiplied at all, but the con is, or just the 3d6 are, or the 3d6+3 is whats multiplied. It's been really hard to get a straight answer.

As the title of the thread. Empower Metamagic states, "All variable, numeric effects of an empowered spell are increased by half including bonuses to those dice rolls." This makes it seem to me that my kinetic blast would do (3d6+15)*1.5, but I have seen a lot of different people saying multiply in different places in the googling I have done, however even though there were quite a few different interpretations none of them were using that method. So my question is this; what constitutes a bonus to the roll. If my damage calculation is [3d6+3]+6(con)+4(overflow)+1(wysp familiar)+1(PBS) where do I insert the *1.5?

Ok thanks for the help.

Ok so it would just add, with both of those, +2 to a caster level check to overcome spell resistance and certain variables on the wild talents that function as spells (like Seismic Master), if I am understanding that correctly?

So I recognize this may come off as a very stupid question but I haven't been able to find a straight answer for it with quite a bit of Googling. Under Expanded Element, if you have taken the same element as your first at 7th and 15th level you get +1 to attack and damage rolls, and to caster level and DC. My question is, what does the caster level increase actually do for the Kineticist, and secondary, if I am playing a Svirfneblin With Stoneseer for +1 caster level on spells with the earth descriptor what, if anything, would that modify (assuming geokineticist).
