Anyone else had the problem that Amazon let you pre-order the rule book and then let you down with some rubbish Email about trying to acquire extra stock to fulfill my order.

My order was placed in April and they waited until today to inform me.

Please note I am based in the UK so ordering direct was not really a option due to postage charges

I ordered mine through Paizo and just got an email that Amazon hasn't sent it yet, so I am getting some store credit to make up for me not having the books at the start of playtest.

That is, unfortunately, a known issue with Amazon. They will happily presell more stock than they actually expect to receive, assuming that they'll be able to acquire more later if they need to. (Several people, when the CRB was released a decade ago, had to wait for a second printing to get the copy they pre-ordered.)
