Looks like the New Boards are on line!!! Something about the DD modules

General Discussion

One thing that I noticed already with the Doomsday Dawn books is that most of the monsters/creatures are referred back to the Playtest Bestiary.

It works, especially as one has downloaded it, but it is a tad inconvenient to a degree.

One can have both open and switch back and forth between them in Adobe, but it would be nice if there were at least abbreviated stats available.

I know this has been something in the APs and Modules for a while, but I didn't notice it as much with them. It may be that I just was more familiar with the P1E bestiaries instead.

Not gamebreaker or really that bad, just feels a little inconvenient switching back and forth between them in reading.

It's a pagecount relic from printed books, and to make you buy bestiaries.

Shame they don't update it for the PDFs, but re-laying-out the pages would be a lot of work.

Because they needed to be printed, the Adventure and Rulebook had to be completed well before the Bestiary. Which is to say, at the time the adventure went press, monster stats were still very much subject to change, so could not be included.
