Melee urban druid

Advice

I wonder between urban druid .
The race ? Half elf.
Melee build that also has charisma and strong social skills.

Str:16
Dex:12
Con:14
Int:12
Wis:15
Cha:13

Half elf gives some more skills as well as a trait.

I want to be a decent melee that can also have strong diplomacy and social.

We start at lvl 7.
Feats options are :
A. Getting the mount back.
1. Power att + skill focus
3.eldrich heritage (animal companion)
5. Boon companion
7. Open.

Or :B. Debuffer.
.1 power att
3. Rime spell
5. Enforcer
7. Imp unarmed strike
9. Snake style

Or.C . shadow
1. Power att
3. Phalanxe formation
5. Heavy armor
7. Heritage. Shadow
9. Lunge
11. Heritage shadow. Greater.

Did you roll the stats or are you using a weird PB system?

A) there is no Sorcerer Bloodline that gives you an animal companion. Widlblooded [Sylvan] is not an option eligible for Eldritch Heritage.

B) if you want to go the unarmed strike route, then you might want to dip one level in UMonk. Domain Strike can be useful with Charm, Repose or other domains with a debuff melee touch attack as 1st level power. Consider also a Conductive Amulet of Mighty Fists.

C) rather than Shadow, I'd call this Battlefield control, and I'd just focus on reach: Combat Reflexes, Power Attack, Phalanx Formation, Pushing Assault, Lunge, while ditching the Eldritch Heritage feats (I don't understand why you need the Shadow bloodline). Use the Ancestral Arms alternate racial trait to get proficiency with the Fauchard. Too bad you can't get the Growth subdomain with the Urban Druid.

In other words, I don't think the Eldritch Heritage feats are a good option for such a Druid.

For option A, i don't really get it, if you want a mount, buy a horse :)
You're sacrifying a lot to do a urban druid, and you're sacrifying even more to get a horse. Also, eldrich heritage is not a viable way of getting an Animal companion. You'd need to take the Sylvan heritage, but it's a wildblooded archetype heritage, so shouldnt be available. Instead, you should take Animal ally feat, that has Nature soul as a prerequesite.

For option B, i get it even less. First, not a lot of cold damage spells to use rime spells (and with your wisdom, you won't get good DC). Second, the unarmed attack route, i get what you want to do, but basically, you're going to use spells slots to do : round 1 you cast a spell, round 2 you hit and will put a few conditions on my target.
Your character wont do damage, will have weak AC and weak saves, and will have to go in melee to do his tricks ... i don't see the point. Also, at that level, you'd be better off naking natural spell and wildshaping in an animal to do that trick (except no enforcer).

For option C, i don't understand what you mean by heritage shadow.

All in all, i don't really get your target. It's like each of your choices go one way then take a step in the opposite direction.

To be honest, i don't get at all the point of urban druid, but that's on Paizo.(giving up an animal companion, -4 to wildshape, spontaneous casting of animal ally for a few skills and a non "nature" domain is more than meh to me)

Grey Warden sum it up better than i did :)

If you want to get your animal companion back via feats you can take Nature soul and animal ally. It's the same feat cost as taking exotic heritage and eldritch heritage. Except you aren't going against the RAI (when it comes to eldritch heritage and sylvan bloodline) and your animal companion will only be equal to your level -3 instead of your level -5 (the penalties of sylvan bloodline and eld heritage would be cumulative)

The dm agreed for it.

Exotic Heritage may be closer to what you want normally it still does not work with sylvan but your GM has allowed so that's great! I thought you might like to know about the feat for future builds.

Shaodw bloodline:
Is just a path to get hide in plain sight, that with alter self offer huge non combat fluff.

Animal companion:
Yes , its taxing.but the urban offer 2 very needed things most druids lack.
1. Alter self at will
2.nobility domain.
So with 3 feats i now have a large animal, that i can reduce (reduce animal)... But can also still ride (alter self to small).
Makjng a very cool, wierd "hero"
Changing forms, scent and track, mohnt for travel (and carry companion when not.)

All the while i can still melee ok.

Any other tips? Alternative ones ?

so, how can we build a solid melee druid without any wildshape ?

as for your Q's about getting the mount back - and why urban druid -
the urban druid have alter self at will at level 6. amazing for me.
it means i can be like the faceless god's man from GOT.
with 5-6 skills per level, and the bonuses from the urban druid,i can have a very solid diplomacy score, perception - spells and many more.

the animal companion is like the bat-mobile - a mount to keep guard when NOT in a city and help traveling about.

the druid can have :
reduce animal - making a full wolf matter - and still be medium to enter a city.
carry companion - to pocket the mount.
air and spider walk - to walk in places needed.

so.....
i am aiming on high level build - we start at lvl 7 .

how can i make it "matter" ?

If all you're looking for is a melee Druid that doesn't wildshape then the Nature Fang archetype is what you're after.

FYI, you can get Alter Self at will with any character with a Greater Hat of Disguise for half your WBL at level 7 (or 1/4 if crafting is allowed).
