Hi guys looking for a little help with an Adaptive Shifter I really like this archetype and particularly the idea of Shifter's Rush and Spiked form. I'm aware Shifter's Rush doesn't really work with the Adaptive shifter as they don't technically have normal wildshape but I'm ignoring that for now.
However I'm struggling to build for spiked form because there just doesn't seem to be much support for natural weapons which count as thrown weapons.
With that said my thought process has been to leverage the claws you get with a shifter, shifter's fury to get iterative attacks and their wisdom modifier to make the base none shifted form a decent combatant, using adaptions for boosts and utility alongside Wildshape to Nova.
I should say my PB is 25 and I'm building a Andoird because I like the idea of the nanites shifting and reforming her body to wildshape. I am aware it is a none optimal stat distribution.
The plan so far is as below, the result I think is a serviceable end product, but not a particularly exciting or impressive one.
STR:17 (all level up bonuses)
DEX: 14
CON:14
INT: 12
WIS:14
CHA: 8
Traits:
Alert +2 Perception
Emotionless -4 Sense Motive
Dark Vision and Low Light 60ft.
Constructed
Nanite Surge
Feats
1) Improved Unarmed Strike
3) Power Attack
5) Tiger Style
7) Tiger Claw
9) Shifter's Rush (the plan would be to nova using to transform into a tiger on the charge if I really need something to die)
11) Tiger Pounce
13) Dragon style
15) Point Blank Shot
17) Precise shot
19) Combat Reflexes
Reactive Forms
2: Stretching Form
Adaptive Defence
4: Spiked Form
6: Sky Hunter
8: Durable Form
10: Restoring Form
12: Spiked form
14: Sky Hunter
16: Aligned Adaption
18: Sprinting Form

It's not bad, but if I was going to work with spiked form I'd probably try for something specific to thrown weapons. Flinging charge or false opening (this should work well with spiked form's reactive damage) or awesome throw.
False opening. You'd want either high AC or some form of damage mitigation to make that work well. Preferably the latter given that you halfway want to be hit. Restoring form and durable form will help but mainly at or after 9th level when you can have one up without losing spiked form. Maybe the quillbreaker defense or curative mastery feats?
Here's how the false opening build could look. The magus level is mainly to create new armor spikes at will, but a little psychic spellcasting and spell combat should be useful also.
Mindblade magus 1 / Adaptive shifter X
Feats
1: Quillbreaker defense
3: Dodge
5: Weapon focus (spines)
7: Close quarters thrower
9: False opening
11: Shifter's rush
13: Point blank shot
15: Precise shot
17: Rapid shot
19: Clustered shots
Flinging charge would rely on your GM accepting that the spines are 'in hand' which seems reasonable given the game meaning of 'weapon ready' but less so if they use the normal meaning. It might look like this.
Adaptive shifter X
Feats
1: Power attack
3: Opening volley
5: Quick draw
7: Flinging charge
9: Shifter's rush
11: Improved overrun
13: Charge through
15: Greater overrun
17: Point blank shot
19: Precise shot
It might possibly work better with a level in fighter and bulette style but I think it'd be adequate as above.

G@&&$~n I love you avr!
I’m going down the fliging charge route because I don’t wanna multiclass
So let’s look at that guy shall we :)
I thought I’d see about some changes, I figured if we chucked out the precise shot stuff which felt like an after thought we could see about some other fun stuff
The I thought why not bullrush instead of overrun it can still be part of a charge and therefore leverage flinging charge and with the stretch form adaption I can also leverage the push back potentially.
On top of that with tiger claw I can essentially make two attacks as a full action and then one attack of opportunity with greater Bullrush as a because you get a free bull rush attempt. Which means 3 attacks at full BAB as a full action. Which is probably better than a normal full action if I’m not hamster.
1: Power attack
3: Opening volley
5: Quick draw
7: Flinging charge
9: Shifter's rush
11: Tiger Style (purchase a perfectionist shavtoosh
13: Improved bullrush
15: Greater bullrush
17: Tiger Claws
19: Combat Reflexes
For this build I do need to re-arrange my adaptions though.

You like those unarmed feats, but unless you get feral combat training & its weapon focus prereq they're not going to work with actual claws.
Bull rush has its points, I just used overrun because I like charge through. The point blank/precise shot feats are nice to have rather than important to this character certainly.
