Bloodrager / Oracle Build Advice

Advice

Stats: Str (18) Dex (13) Con (13) Int (10) Wis (10) Cha (20)
Race: Tiefling
Class: Primalist Urban Bloodrager-Abyssal Infernal (4)
- Lvl 4: Lesser beast totem and Lesser elemental rage
Currently wearing mithril chain shirt +1 and wielding an earthbreaker

Now, with Cha 20 I'm thinking of going into an oracle dip. This would be Lore Oracle (replace Dex with Cha), and would give a much needed +2 Will save.

Now, for the questions...

(1) How many levels of oracle should I take?
(2a) Should I go dual cursed oracle? (for misfortune)
(2b) Should I go seeker oracle for tinkering? (the party has no trapfinder)
(2c) Should I go psychic searcher oracle for inspiration? (my character is a party face, and this would give me a free +1d6 to diplomacy and sense motive, and I could use it for combat rolls)
(3) How many levels of oracle should I take? I'd prefer not to lose any more BaB without good reason.

Thanks!

If you don't want to lose more BAB than necessary, that leave you with 1-4 levels of Oracle. That rules out Dual-Cursed (since the extra revelation is at level 5). You don't need trapfinding to find and disable traps, unless they are magical traps (then you just need to dispel them instead).

Why not pick up Spirit Guide instead? It'll let you pick up a Hex that might be a bit more useful than an extra revelation (and you can always take the extra revelation/extra hex feats). You'll get a Mystery and a Wandering Spirit.

You can still go Dual Cursed. You don't need to reach level 5 to go that route. The goal of that was Misfortune, which can be taken at 1st level.

I would do psychic searcher, but I love Inspiration. Seconded on 1-4 levels.

Ah, you are right about that. You can pick up Misfortune anytime. I was just focusing on the extra revelation boost.

Great advice!

Lvl 1 Oracle: Sidetep Secret (Cha replaces dex for AC, Ref)
Lvl 3 Oracle: Mammoth Spirit and Hex

“Mammoth’s Hide (Su) The shaman can touch a willing ally and cause its skin to thicken and sprout thick, shaggy fur. The creature gains a +2 enhancement bonus to natural armor and cold resistance 5 for 10 minutes. At 9th level, the enhancement bonus increases to +3 and the cold resistance to 10. At 15th level, this enhancement bonus increases to +4 and the cold resistance to 15. The shaman can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + her Charisma bonus.”

So 80 minutes per day, get extra AC? Sounds pretty good.

The flame one does give +10ft movement speed, which negates lame though...

Though psychic searcher’s inspiration would help with being even better as a face...so a hard decision.

I am not sure that the Mammoth Spirit and Mammoth Hide hex is going to be useful to you, at least in the long term. The Gaze of Flame hex seems fairly useful, should you desire miss chances and concealment in battle. Cinder dance is fairly useful as well.

Dont forget with Spirit Guide you swap Wis and Cha with your hexes. So if the hex says use 3+Cha mod on the spirit, then for you it's actually 3+Wis mod.
In addition, Spirit Guide and Dual-Cursed archetypes do not stack, as they both alter the bonus mystery skills learned.
Also, consider this: while BAB is good, you have the means to make up for that with spells and other Oracle abilities. You could go mostly Lunar oracle, replace Dex for Cha for AC AND get an animal companion (With boon companion to make up for the 4 levels that you would take in Bloodrager) AND get a poorly worded albeit highly useful Wall of Force ability (Moonlight bridge)

Admittedly, I'm biased as Oracle is my favorite class, but don't discount more levels in Oracle just because of the loss of BAB.
