So, we're about a month out from the start of Against the Aeon Throne. There hasn't been any fanfare or build up. I mean, we don't even have a separate sub-forum for it yet. I assume the Paizo writers have got something planned, but for now I find the lack of hype disturbing.
I'd love to get some discussion going, but what do we know? Any juicy tidbits from the authors?

I am very excited for you all to see these adventures! You might be surprised as to the directions they go!
We are planning a few blog posts for August that should help this hype train get going, but right now we are focused on talking about the final volume of Dead Suns. We did it! We finished a Starfinder Adventure Path!
As for juicy tidbits, what do you want to know (that isn't too spoilery of course).

I am very excited to GM this AP. My table opted to skip DS because we were so eager to play Starfinder that we started a homebrew adventure in the Pact Worlds on release day, we were just too eager to wait for me to prep DS. We should be wrapping up in September, once the PCs hit level 20, and then my players will start new PCs for this AP.
The PCs in my homebrew adventure had a brief run in with the ASE, which I think will tie in nicely with the new AP, from what I can tell from the product description. Like a bit of cross campaign foreshadowing, if you will.
I'm hoping we get more types of azlanti enemies, combat, expert, and spellcaster, as well as loot and starship parts for the players to utilize.

That is awesome, and a huge congratulations to you and the whole Paizo team! Sometimes its easy to take for granted, but the sheer amount of work behind an AP -- and especially a new system launch -- are extraordinary! Bravo!

Tidbits... let's see... I'm curious about the scope of the AtAT path. As in, how many worlds does it explore, or is it localized to one primary location? Its understood that with a 3-part AP, it will obviously be scaled back, but what can we expect?
Any new aeon stones being introduced?

I'm definitely interested, and especially interested in learning more about the Azlanti and their empire. I'm not sure/if when I'll run it -- I'm running Dead Suns for my group, and I imagine it'would be tough to adapt an AP for characters that are L1 - 7 to characters that are L12+ and potentially pretty famous given what they'll have accomplished. So I suppose I'm mostly hoping for lots of setting/cultural info to mine for my group to use post Dead Suns. Plus class options and gear are always nice, too, and I'm sure there'll be at least a little of that.

In Dead Suns, there's a point in the adventure around the beginning of book 4 where the PCs leap into the Vast to save the universe and may not return to civilization until they've achieved their goal, thus precluding selling or buying new equipment and relying on crafting and loot for levels 7 - 13. Does Against the Aeon Throne have a similar situation? I would image that, at some point, the PCs are sneaking around the titular empire and just droppin' into the nearest space-mart could be problematic.

While the adventures give you only a glimpse of the Azlanti Star Empire by visiting a single system on its fringes (as well as the colony world where the AP begins); you don't visit their home world of New Thespera for instance, a couple of the back matter articles give you much more detail about the history and culture of the Empire, plus a description of those 17 non-human species under the Empire's thumb mentioned in the Core Rulebook.
And you can bet that article has some new aeon stones!

Yes and no. We make sure to mention this time that the PCs are heading into hostile territory and might need to be a little more judicious with their equipment. However, there are a few places where the PCs can buy stuff from friendly merchants (after all, not everyone in the Star Empire is loyal to the Azlanti!) but those merchants might not have EVERYTHING the PCs want to buy...

Though one system's Vast might be another system's Near...
I had already made this head-canon. I'm glad you guys made it canon-canon. Because it vastly improves internal consistency on the setting.

That very well may be the case given that Veiled Masters make copious use of shapechange https://pathfinderwiki.com/wiki/Veiled_master

There is at least one starship encounter in each volume. I believe the first and last volume both begin and end with starship combat encounters, in fact.

I am
We didn't play DS, as having read part 1 it didn't inspire. Instead we just flipped through the core book and grabbed 12 bits of stuff to play with. Luckily the PCs met a Steward and one Aeon Guard who was a prisoner.
Gives the party a nice 'in' though I may need to ramp up the challenges to match their level.
