So here's the deal: Through a series of unexplainable shenanigans, our wizard got turned into an Axiomite Psychic instead. The issue, however... is that he's Lawful Evil, and the rest of the party are Neutral or Good.
I've been quietly planning with my DM to find a way to disable or kill the psychic (player's a good sport, so we're not worried about a volatile reaction, and the rest of the party suspects he's making plans against us in return), but... As he's a Psychic, he doesn't need to be corporeal to cast, and as he's an Axiomite, he spends the majority of his time as a cloud of math.
Axiomites are also immune to mind affecting effects, and as I'm a bard, that puts me at a serious disadvantage. My plan thus far has been to poison him, but first I have to guarantee a delivery method. I've been tinkering with craft (clockwork), (and currently have two limbs replaced with clockwork, as well as a pair of clockwork wings) so I could probably build a delivery method if need be.
The poisons I'm considering are ones that would prevent him from casting (nausea, unconsciousness, etc), so that the rest of the party can get an almost guaranteed kill.
So, my questions are:
A) Is there a way to restrain an incorporeal creature? Ghost touch is the first thing that comes to mind, but the math cloud doesn't have a humanoid form to attach cuffs or restraining devices to.
B) Can an incorporeal creature that's not explicitly listed as being immune to poison... be poisoned?
C) If I go the poison route, am I better off trying to poison his food, or trying to use a clockwork contraption to deliver the poison?

I swear there was a magic item for just this situation, a ghost net, but I can't seem to find it anywhere :( Must be mixing it up with some other system or else my normally weak search-fu is extra tragic today.
I do have to ask since LE can easily work very well with neutral and good characters: why the need to kill his character? I hope it's based on in game, in character actions rather than the fact he's got LE marked on his character sheet for alignment.

A Force Net is meant for that. You could also use any normal restraining spell with a rod of ectoplasmic metamagic, right?

Being entrapped by the net doesn't stop spellcasting nor movement (they're just considered entangled) and things like FoM allow you to escape it.
If you have someone in the party with posession, you could hit em with esoterum and then they automatically are able to be posessed.
Some restraining spells work when ectoplasmic, some don't.

Some are conjuration with an instantaneous duration, which apparently ectoplasmic doesn't work for . So while it works for some, it don't work for all.

Oh, the party has been feeling the pressure of having a lawful evil. They don't agree with his methods, nor his lack of caring for others. I was chill with having an LE in the party until he started doing things I didn't agree with.

The Force Net is perfect! Combine that with a clockwork item like the Iron Bands of Binding, and I think we can at least slow him down. Might be able to convince the DM to let me add poison needles to the thing. I think that's my solution.
Hail internet forums and obscure crafting skills!
As for the rod or ectoplasmic metamagic... are there restraining spells that aren't mind affecting? Ones on the Bard list, that is. I know druids get Entangle, but I'm the only spell caster aside from our LE friend.
Hold person (or something better that targets a weak save), tap on the head with a magic sap. Repeat tap on head as needed.
No dice, can't be a mind-affecting effect. Damn Axiomites and their immunities!

From just the bard's spell list:
Ghostbane Dirge can make him semi-corporeal for a short time, possibly long enough to defeat him. While it only mentions dealing damage, I would believe that it would also make him affected by corporeal restrains and poisons (especially if you have a helpful GM). Even if not, you can then Summon Swarm to affect him with its distraction ability and stop him from casting.
If you have access to spells from outside of the bard's spell list:
Ectoplasmic Bestow Curse can lower his Intelligence and make him much easier to beat.
Since he is an outsider now, you can use Planar Binding against him. You need to cast it from a different plane though. Call him to a CG-aligned plane for the best effect.
If spells of high-level are available, you can use Trap the Soul.

The Swarm isn't a terrible idea, though he focuses primarily on Enchantment spells himself, so he may be able to turn the swarm if he manages even a single cast.
Ghostbane Dirge, however... Oh that's beautiful. That might be exactly what I need, used in combination with an Iron Bands of Binding and a way to introduce poison. Force Net as a backup just in case.
Y'all are so helpful <3
