I am wondering too.
My region has a couple dozen players beginning to coalesce into several playtest groups. Knowing ahead of time whether 4, 5, or 6 would be the better target number would aid us quite a bit.
Thanks
ETA: Just posted question under the scenario itself where Jacobs & Wertz have posted today.

I don't think the adventure will be structured like an AP, but rather a string of connected, but not necessarily continuous, modules. But the same point would be true that 4 PCs is generally the number that Paizo designs around for both APs and Modules. This being a playtest however, they might do something like how PFS adjusts for subtiers, but adjusting for party sizes instead, but I don't think they've mentioned the specifics anywhere.

So Mark did answer on the Doomsday Dawn messageboard.
Essentially, play to the number that best suits how you like to play Pathfinder. Which makes sense, as they want to appeal to what appeals to you, even if your group is an outlier.
BUT, some sections will be based around having 4-6 PCs.
Which likely matters quite a bit for feedback, especially if there are "aid another" actions stacking up hit some DCs or other group dynamics.

Ah I thought it had its own board already like the other APs, was trying to find that rather than the single thread. Thanks!
