good shoulder items that aren't cloaks?

Advice

Right. It seems a little weird to wear a cloak if your character has wings. Seems like things could get pretty tangled up.

Specifically the advice I'm seeking is for a winged eidolon in PFS (which means no 'reskinning' a cloak of resistance as something else, such as, I don't know, jorts of resistance), but this advice would be good for any winged character, or for anyone who takes Edna Mode's edict (no capes!) to heart.

What are some good shoulder slot items that aren't cloaks or capes?

There's some pauldrouns that may interest you.
Shoulder armour!

One of the PFS modules has "Muleback Cords of Resistance" that grant resistance bonuses to saves of up to +2.

Muleback Cords. The Eidolon could carry a LOT of stuff around.

Take the cloak and roll it up before putting around your shoulders.

There is no mechanical penalty for wearing a cloak while flying. Any restrictions you place upon your eidolon are as much homebrew as reskinning the cloak into jorts.

A Cloak of Resistance grants you a resistance bonus to your saves, and is worn in your Shoulders magic item slot. It also grants you a +2 bonus to hide small objects, but nothing else.

Everything that manifests wings says your gear and armor reconfigure to make it work, I don't think anything has to change, at all.

Like an Erfworld magic carpet. I love it.

I get what you're saying, and I know I'm being really picky. Ever tried out heroforge? wings + a back item (such as a cloak) just doesn't look right at all.

muleback cords of resistance sounds cool. I could have magic items that are nothing but buckles and straps and cords.

muleback cords (of resistance)
eidolon anchoring harness
belt of giant strength
and what the heck, toss on an armbands of the brawler in there just for good measure.

now I'm a little sad that the amulet of mighty fists has no flavor description.

Given that the eidolon and summoner share item slots, in your specific case I would consider having the summoner wear the shoulder-slot item.

Pauldrons of Bashing! They are so huge you can batter enemies to the ground. Can't fit through doors though.

This is PFS so I don't think you can muck about with Wondrous Item slots there, but in a home game can't you just re-skin the "slot" of a wondrous item to fit it somewhere else? For example if you want Deliquescent Gloves for your familiar, your wizard has Craft Wondrous Item and your owl familiar doesn't have hands, can't you just make a neck-slot Deliquescent item and forego the owl's Amulet of Natural Armor?

If that is rules-legal, then perhaps the OP could request to modify the slot of a non-shoulder item to a shoulder item. Again it's PFS so I don't think you can, but who knows unless you ask.
