What book is this mentioned in, Pact Worlds? I was under the impression that half-elves born to Triaxus' elves were descended from human colonists who wanted to live on a Golarion-like planet.

In the Triaxus section it mentions Ryphoran half-elves, yes.
But, it also goes on to say (and I'm paraphrasing) that they're identical to other half-elves (so no fur or weird ears or seasonal variation). That implies that they're compatible with the other half-elves (and with humans). It also, in character, seems to be causing some consternation as it implies that Ryphorans are more like humans than was previously thought.

Technically the words the book uses are that the ryphorian half-elves are "curiously similar" to half-elves of human & elven parentage. Personally I'd interpret this to mean that mechanically they're the same but they may have some superficial ryphorian physical traits if the player really wants to play a furry half-elf, because why not, there's probably some cosmetic biotech that does that anyway.

Well, sure. Ryphorians are the only other species that I can call to mind rocking the general bonus feat. Clearly the same chromosome that gives you a bonus feat also makes you elf-compatible.

Or, possibly, near universally compatible.

Having just read this in Pact Worlds, this excites me to no end! Half-Elves are my favorite as far as traditional fantasy races go, so being able to combine that with aliens from my favorite planet... I don't even know how to handle it!
Now, to get a Legacy Race boon for SFS and see if I can make my half-elf look Ryphorian...

Implications for kish... troubling.

They were widespread.
