Sorcerer Bloodline and Ancestry

Prerelease Discussion

I feel as if P1E really redefined the Sorcerer with it's expansive lists of unique bloodlines, turning it into somwthing that wasns't just a "spontaneous wizard"and as I learn more about P2E and Ancesteries i wonder about its legacy. I use wonder because concerned leaves a negative connotations and I am axtually quite excited and curious about this design space. Bloodlines was what empowered your sorcerer magic and was connected to a fantastical concept/creature/lineage, it leveled up with you granting you powers that would make a fey sorcerer for feyish or a dragon sorcerer more draconic.

And I wonder if like the occultist, Ancesteries were formes by examing the sorcerer and expanding the design space into the rest of the world/game.

But then what does that mean for the sorcerer, I mean bloodline and ancestery even have simillar connotations when taking out of the context of the game. I wonder could the sorcerers gimic stay unique enough. I mean I feel like it could but the concern is there. Then again it could just mean that you could become the most draconic dwarfiest dragon dwarf there is if sorcerers remain the same.

Then again sorcerers will change no doubt by becoming more doular maybe each bloodline gives you unqiue access to different sorcerer feats.

Here's what I figure so far.
Clerics still have channeling and domains, but also get class feats.

I figure Sorcerers still have an ancestry feature in addition to their class feats. So, their class feats probably have to be general, though, or each bloodline would take up half a class worth of space.

One possible class feat would be getting an extra ancestry feat early. That way, whatever your bloodline is, you can have Sorcerer tie in to your ancestry as well.
