So far the party is at lvl 6 and my current character is about to be retired, if he doesn't die before then. There was a trap, lots of con damage, and after a rest, managed to prep and use all my 2nd level extracts to restore my Con to 9. Was originally 14. Well prepared traps suck (should've taken 20 to check for traps).
That said, I'm making a Half-Orc Goliath Druid and I'd like advice on feats and anything that may potentially be wrong with my build. My focus is to become a Big Ol' Angry Beatstick.
Org the Incorrigable (Neutral Good)
Half-Orc Goliath Druid 6
Str 19 Int 10
Dex 14 Wis 14
Con 14 Cha 10
Gear; MW Quarterstaff, +1 Falchion, Red Dragonhide Fullplate
Feats; Toughness, Power Attack, Heavy Armor Proficiency
We're close to 7th level and I'm trying to decide if Cleave is the way to go, or if I should choose another feat that would better benefit from the Vital Strike chain.

If you are picking Half-Orc for the luck racial trait you can eventually mimic that with a slotless magic item.
A Half Elf has the same FCB as the Half Orc and they can get an exotic weapon proficiency feat for free. Get yourself a nice little Fauchard reach, d10, 18-20 crit range. Reach being the most important attribute so you can really take advantage of your permanent size bonus.

I'm going with Fates Favored and Sacred Tattoo, so it's an auto +2 to all saves. Also, the class bonus for half-orcs is extra Nat armor that stacks with nat armor granted through Wildshape.
Edit; Half elves don't have the same favored class bonus as Half Orcs.
Half Elf
Druid: Select one cleric domain power at 1st level that is normally usable a number of times per day equal to 3 + the druid’s Wisdom modifier. The druid adds +1/2 to the number of uses per day of that domain power. For druids whose nature bond gives them an animal companion, add +1 skill rank to the animal companion. If the druid ever replaces her animal companion, the new companion gains these bonus skill ranks.
Half Orc
Druid: Add +1/3 to the druid’s natural armor bonus when using wild shape.

Oh, I have a need for clarification on the Goliath Druid's Wildshape ability. If I have the dragon hide fullplate on and wildshape into a Troll, does my armor adjust to my new form, or meld and rendered inert until the wildshape has ended? Does this extend to weapons as well?
I ask because of the rules on Polymorph.

Combat reflexes is likely a better addition than vitals trike.
You are a giant humanoid- you have better reach than someone that uses a polearm while medium (you take up 10' of space and 10' reach to your left/right, which means your circle of pain is 30' wide compared to a polearm user's 25'). So you can easily do a reach build even though you are just using a normal great axe or falchion.
Additionally, your good reach means that you can easily build it so you can get plenty of full attacks. At level 9, you can grab lunge and get enough reach so that you can get out to 20' away with your full attacks (25' when huge).
Reach is beatstick plus. It is using your damage with a big ol' weapon to make enemies fear getting anywhere near you. A good reach build should also seek to allow you to easily get into position to beat with the stick.

You turn into giants with that archetype. Giants are a type of humanoid. Under polymorph rules, your equipment resizes with you when you turn into a humanoid. So it is more like a better version of enlarge person for you with better stats (you will eventually get special abilities like regeneration if you decide to remain mean and green by turning into a troll at higher levels).
But even if you didn't that doesn't mean you cannot go with weapons and armor. Even as a vanilla druid, you could turn into an earth element (elementals have hands and can use weapons) to get a similar effect. The problem is that elementals do not have the resize mechanic... which means you have to get a large sized set of weapons/armor. But eh- wildshape lasts for hr/lvl and you can stay turned constantly at level 8. So it is only a slight logistical and monetary problem.

When you cast a polymorph spell that changes you into a creature of the animal, dragon, elemental, magical beast, plant, or vermin type, all of your gear melds into your body.
....
If your new form does not cause your equipment to meld into your form, the equipment resizes to match your new size.
So the armor just fits, with no extra magic required.

Vital Strike is absolutely the way to go. Make sure to include a 1-level dip into Titan Fighter to get that sweet oversized weapon. Rage domain via the Goliath or dipping into actual Barbarian would work to get that Furious Finish action going on. Use Shaping Focus to negate the lost pace with Wild Shape. You don't really need much past 3rd level Druid spells, esp at low level. Resist Energy and Protection from Energy are the only things that matter as you'll have to make sure that you don't take Fire / Acid damage after 12th level, when you're virtually immortal.

Technically fire wouldn’t stop your druid’s regen, but it’s maybe intended to work that way.
You're both beautiful and correct! If we're following RAW, the Giant Form spells give Regen 5 if the form you assume would have it. It also mentions that I have vulnerability to an element if the creature would have it as well, but acid and fire just halt most trolls regen, and aren't classified as vulnerabilities.

Appologies for the double-post. I found out that Polymorph covers this issue. "If the form you choose grants these benefits, or a greater ability of the same type, you gain the listed benefit. If the form grants a lesser ability of the same type, you gain the lesser ability instead", And we should all be able to agree that Regeneration X (acid or fire) is weaker than Regeneration X. So my favored form, at lvl 12 and up, will be whichever Troll has the most benefits, in Giant Form 1 & 2. Other than that, I'll just pop up Prot from Energy against the type any enemy decides to use on me.
