Pronunciation of Geb (with a j or with a g)???

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

How do you say Geb? The country bordering the Mana Wastes on Garund. I assume you say it like you say grass or goal, but it may be like Joker or jelly. If you can cite a reference you get bonus points. Thanks!

It's always going to be with a G to me, because "Jeb" reminds me of several notable people. I can't call a country full of undead "Jeb" without my brain coming up with a lot of hilarious images.

I agree because guac

I generally tend to err on the side of hard syllables rather than soft, so I always used the hard G.

I use the hard g because that's the sound for the other gVb English words

gab
gob

There are no gVb words in English that use the soft 'j' sound.

Gib (a type of plasterboard in NZ) is pronounced with a j sound, but a hard g looks right for Geb to me.

It’s pronounced like the g in gif, of course.

Geb is pronounced with a hard G. I heard it pronounced once on a documentary about ancient Egypt and it's gods.

Thanks everyone and well played Xenocrat
