So I just got Ultimate Wilderness and Kobold Press' New Paths Compendium Expanded Edition. I haven't had a good chance to look both over yet, but since I'm never very good at rating the mechanics of classes I thought I'd ask folks if the two classes are too similar to allow both in a game or would they both work. Same with Shaman and Spirit Shaman from New Paths.

We don't allow 3PP stuff at our table...so I can't really speak to any of the Kobold Press stuff.

That said, the Shifter is covered better by existing Paizo stuff...Druid, Feral Hunter, or Metamorph/Alchemist.

Probably best to use Skin Changer. It's going to be the easier one to use and play a bit smoother.

Not to mention there are some.. problems.. with Shifter that need patched. Like Major Owl Aspect not having a fly speed, so it can't fly.
