Magic Missile to kill flies. Never misses, gets five at a time. Real time saver.

No risk of collateral damage, too.

Which in retrospect I'm not sure if that's a point for or against.

It's definitely a point for.

Let me give you some more with the summonings:

- Summon a fire elemental to sit in the fireplace to get some heat
- Summon a legion from hell to clean up the mess

disintegrate to deal with a pimple

You guys are thinking small. I use antipathy to deter my bullies!

Meteor swarm to dig a trench.

How do you figure? It seems to be about as explosive as a Fireball spell, which is to say, not really at all.

Since it has an average of 42 Fire damage if you stack it up in one place that would probably glass sand, I suppose, unless you count sand as taking normal damage from Fire so it gets the normal average of 84 Fire.

Don't forget about the bludgeoning damage! (the meteors actually hitting. I think I nice glass trench would looks cool)

mud to rock then disintegrate would be better i think, using a 5th level spell and a 6th level spell is better then using a 9th level spell

Well yeah move earth would be fine summon a earth elemental. But that defeats the purpose. Is this not the thread for casual things to do with dangerous spells? Did I misread that somewhere? If I can't overkill a trench whats the point?

Over killing a trench is one thing. But if you are trying to do that with a damage spell, it isn't going to work. Even with overlapping all the meteors in a single place, the best you are going to get is a shallow divot. Nothing close to a trench.

agree to disagree

So lame forget this thread you guys go head and calculate the hardness of dirt and its hp per inch of thickness and shove off. I'm out of here took all the fun out of it real quick.

Arcane Gate to get a beer out of the fridge.

Dominate Monster to get out of a parking ticket.

Wish for a Klondike Bar.

widened fireball on a orc/goblin bloodline sorc with blood havoc would probably make a nice trench

From the text of Legend Lore:

As a rule of thumb, characters who are 11th level and higher are “legendary,” as are the sorts of creatures they contend with, the major magic items they wield, and the places where they perform their key deeds.

Emphasis mine. So if you're a high enough level to cast the spell, you'll never be locked out of your house again. :D

Try as I might, I can't find a reason that wouldn't work. Clearly it isn't meant to work that way (and therefor is a perfect example to be used in That works... but it wasn't made for that), but it could be used for that I suppose. Though you have no control over what information you gain, so it may take a few castings.

I like to visit all the local pig farmers during the warm summer months and transmute rock to mud for the benefit of their hogs. They also like it when I grease pigs for the harvest pig-catching competition.

I like to use gust of wind to blow away the dirt on my floors when I'm tired of using prestidigitation to clean things.

Nothing like a web spell for hunting. Flush out game right into it. Dangerous game. Like pheasants or turkeys. Geese. Ducks. That sort of thing.

If I'm having an uninspiring year for gardening, I just use hallucinatory terrain on the garden, usually after a few sleet storm spells and ice storm spells to kill everything.

When the moles, gophers, and groundhogs get on my nerves (because they ate my garden), I drop cloudkill down in their burrows and let things take their course.

Did I mention that I put symbol of sleep on the headboard of my kid's bed? Makes it easy to sneak out and put presents out under the ol' Christmas tree.

When the baker opens up in the morning and I smell all that delicious fresh-baked bread and those piping hot pies, I admit, I've used mass hold person on all the other customers so I can get to the front of the line.

When the flowers are in bloom, I like using sympathy to attract butterflies. Not bees though, the buzzing gets old real fast.

What are you disintegrating exactly? Assuming you can target just the pimple you’d have a small crater in your face. If you can’t then you just shot yourselves in the face and probably disintegrated your head.

that's why you do spell research and make some meta magics up to allow more focused functions to your spells
