Hey folks,

I was just wondering if there is a feat out there that let's you apply weapon finesse to a weapon that doesn't normally qualify for it?

I'd love for a fighter/rogue concept I got going to wield a longsword, but I'm high on DEX and low on STR.

Thanks in advance.

Liberty's Edge

One level of Swashbuckler (or the several Archetypes that get Swashbuckler's Finesse) and the Slashing Grace Feat will do this. I dunno if you can manage it with just a Feat...

It can certainly be done for a scimitar.

Unless you're looking at Slashing/Fencing Grace, no. Your only bet is class features or the effortless lace.

5th fight level when you get weapon training, you can take the advanced weapon training feat, allowing you to get dex to hit for any one fighter weapon class.

Effortless lace is a wondrous item that let's basically any item become weapon finesse-able.

Liberty's Edge

Ooh! Also there's the Aldori Dueling Sword, which is a finesseable Longsword kinda by definition. That's at least two Feats (one for the Exotic Weapon Proficiency then one for Weapon Finesse) but it works.

Use a longsword made for someone smaller than you.

Better answer, Exotic Weapon Proficiency Dueling Sword. It is identical to a longsword, can be used as a longsword, but if you have EWP with it, it is finesseable. Well, not quite identical. It costs 5 gold more and weighs 1lb less.

Weapon Finesse only works for Weapons sized for you.

Weapon Finesse (Combat)

You are trained in using your agility in melee combat, as opposed to brute strength.

Benefit: With a light weapon, rapier, whip, or spiked chain made for a creature of your size category, you may use your Dexterity modifier instead of your Strength modifier on attack rolls. If you carry a shield, its armor check penalty applies to your attack rolls.
Special: Natural weapons are considered light weapons.

Stupid useless snarck, being factually inaccurate *grumble*...

Only one-handed piercing or slashing melee weapons that are appropriately sized for you. So not really 'any.'
