Just caught this live after missing 10 minutes
Some new stuff but have to watch it again
almost 3 hours long so quite nice
Off the top of my head
No crit confirm rolls
No crit fumble, you just miss (but they may add some decks in later)
Can double move on your turn
Extra movement feat
Quick draw feat
The highlight for me was their droid Dink being the superstar at first, then gettin almost shredded by the end
Party fought some living vines, half Orc Mercs, a Drow, and 2 mining machines
Planet ended up being alive and a certain Abadar Corp was trying to mine its seeds to take out other planets theme.
Bit tired now but I'll try to add more in after some sleep and another rewatch perhaps.
OOPS
The contest 5 Starfinder books up for grabs and 5 Syrinscape subs until GECON? (or two weeks from now?) when winners will be announced.

Apparently monsters are much less durable than players. One of the half-orc mercenaries went down in one shot, and the most challenging opponents were mining robots.
The two half-orc guards at the top of the bore shaft were lower CR than the player's level, quite intentionally. I wanted to have a range of encounter difficulties.

Weak guards at the top of a mine shaft? Did anyone get Sparta'd! into the hole?

I figured as much. I'm just not used to combat being that short. I once spent an hour and a half on a single encounter.

Given that I am on the west coast, and we had folks on the East Coast, we had decided in advance to have the game run 2.5 hours. I figured that in to my fight planning, and had that middle fight be much more forgiving. The main issue would be if the guards could be killed before they gave a warning to the NEXT encounter, and they were.

The session was a blast to watch and did a great job at showing the starfinder system and you gm style. It makes me hope I'll be able to play with you at a con someday. The one thing I really enjoyed was putting a face to you Owen, but then I realized your avatar is already a pretty close match.
Anyway, really enjoyed watching the game, thanks.

Yep, I picked the balding, fat, white man icon for a reason. :)
I keep thinking I'll pencil-in a beard and see if I can get that as a unique icon...Anyway, really enjoyed watching the game, thanks.
You are very welcome! Thanks for the feedback.

Did I hear that correctly from the video, that there was a "mote" of light following the Solarion around? I think someone said that this "mote" was happy that the Solarion had found another star or something like that. What's going on with that?
You got me thinking of Bit from Tron, now.

Good look at the new system and quite entertaining! The planet stuff was real cool, and helped demonstrate all the new doors the sci-fantasy setting opens.
I wish the fella playing the android technomancer had chosen a character angle other than "sexualization of artificial intelligences," however :|

Yeah, it was a bit one note. But overall I was impressed with the system.
