This isn't so much of a discussion point as it is pointing out how much awesome stuff we're getting for a newly launched RPG! With the combination of the Core rulebook and First Contact on Free RPG Day, we're gonna have 17 playable races on launch as well as potentially more in the first volume of the AP. Not to mention we have other character options that are supposed to be available in the AP book meaning there's gonna be a ton of content to dig into! Compared to RPG releases like 5e this is loads of stuff and I'm super hyped! Since I should probably contribute some kind of discussion, what are you most excited to build/see when Starfinder is released?

Also, the first AP in its entirety (granted it's going to take me a year to witness the whole campaign).
I've always wanted to like Sci-Fi games but they've never really worked for our group. I have high hopes for Starfinder. Due in no small part to Paizo's commitment to supporting the product post-launch.

Aren't Haan a bit over powered in some ways?
Not really. Only 4 racial hit points which is on par with elves supposedly, large size no longer means more powerful weapons, racial equivalent to feather fall, and a once per day breath weapon. If it's the same deal in the final version it will be a weaker option than most core races.

I guess that's a good point. The NPC version of the stats is a leveled from their homeworld. Not a PC variant.

The Haan were not written with the final rules that went to print; those are likely playtest rules. Also, I think you are assuming Pathfinder game balance, because we don't know what is balanced until we get our hands on the final rules.
No matter if Haan are in or not, I totally agree with OP, it feels like the core rulebook alone will enable you more content then pathfinder core + apg
