Nonmagical Healing

Advice

My group is starting a non-magical campaign. I'm wondering how we are going to handle healing the party without any magic. Does anyone have any class suggestions or other ideas that would help us out? Thanks in advance.

Other than the healing skill I don't know of any ways to heal or speed healing without magic.

I'd suggest at least some sort of increased healing so you don't end up having to spend multiple days off. Having the equivalent of CLW potions as alchemical items would be one possibility. If you don't want instant healing from them, having them take 10 minutes or so to function would keep not being able to heal in combat effectively, but mean that after a few hours characters could be all healed up instead of after a few days.

I'd stack up on Troll Styptic. But really: Pathfinder was never designed to have such a large part of it simply left out. Just rename and retool the Wands and Potions of CLW into something mundane.
Or spend weeks recuperating after every fight.

If the GM is willing to prune the more overtly magical formula out and weaken alchemist a fair bit you could morph alchemist into medic pretty easily.

Another option would be to auto-grant skill unlocks. My personal house rule for them is that classes with no spellcasting ability at all automatically get skill unlocks for their class skills, and any feats they spend on skill boosting have their bonuses count as ranks for the purposes of skill unlocks. IE: a 7th level character with max ranks in heal and skill focus heal utilizes the skill unlock as though they had 10 ranks in the heal skill. At level 10 with max ranks and skill focus its as though he had 16 ranks (from the skill focus upgrading).

Skill unlocks are from pathfinder unchained, but here's a reference sheet

How non-magical are we talking, here? It's not so hard to explain stuff as "high tech" healing if you're okay with that route. Otherwise, maybe you could say that HP is actually your "stamina", and "potions" are special concoctions that give you a quick boost of energy. We have relatively similar things in real life.

As VRMH noted, Pathfinder kind of assumes that magical healing is available. Reflavoring can cover to an extent, but outright removing all magical healing will sharply limit your options.

have every one play a race with fast healing or regeneration is the only way it wont completely and utterly suck

There is the technology guide for some goodies. Stuff like tech based healing might be more appropriate.

The is the godless healing feat, but I don't think that is enough.

Sovereign Court

So non magical as in humans vs humans?

Guess max out the heal skill and hope for the best. It is very slow tho and even if you add the optional skill unlock rule, it won't be available for most of your career.

If it is non magical humans vs fantasy monsters...well good luck.
