Barbarian Monk (Paizo Build)

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Hi Everyone! It's my first post.
Here is a build for ANY Archetypes :D

Monk Alignment: Any lawful
Monk Alignment: Any no lawful

1) Make a HUMAN Monk

2) Use the Bonus Feat(Human), take the racial feat Racial Heritage (Human)

3) Choose the Aasimar race:

4) Use the level 1 free feat, and take the general feat Additional Traits:

5) Choose the racial trait Enlightened Warrior (Aasimar), and a FREE TRAIT :) :

6) DONEEE!! JUST TAKE BARBARIAN LEVELS, and your GM can't say no :D

Your Alignment can be:
-True Neutral
-Neutral Good

Good Luck!

Sadly Racial Heritage(Aasimar) is unavailable. Racial Heritage specifies humanoid races, and aasimar are outsiders. Good try though!

You could just, yannow, get the Adopted trait.

Scarab Sages

Or you know, just make a bloodrager or any of a dozen other classes that can rage while being lawful. Or start lawful, take your monks levels, become non-lawful, and then take barbarian levels if the class actually matters.

There is always the Martial Artist archetype for Monk that loses the lawful requirement.

Liberty's Edge

Or just...play an aasimar...this was like the least efficient, most complicated way of doing it and not legal to boot...

Welcome to the Paizo Boards, Diego!

I'm also a fan of Monk/Barb combo, although I've always just preferred taking on the dichotomy head-on by playing as a "fallen Monk" from the beginning, i.e. have my alignment change from Lawful to Neutral or Chaotic before the first "on-screen" adventure moment. Background including being kidnapped and enslaved by evil monastery only to eventually escape and reclaim heritage, is entirely optional.

With your approach, of course, you can also take any Human or Aasimar Racial Feats like angel wings or stuff. I'm not really sure if you need the Extra Trait Feat in your build, I think you could just take Racial Heritage and then qualify for Aasimar Traits for your normal allotment of 2 Traits. Or, as suggested, just use Adopted Trait to get the Aasimar Trait, although that doesn't allow you to use other Aasimar Feats and so on.

Anyhow, hope you're having fun with it, along with the rest of the game!

or just have a dm that thinks alignment restrictions are dumb
