Wild Shape into medium sized tiger?

Rules Questions

Is it possible to wild shape into a medium sized tiger? My understanding is that the Reduce Animal/Person spells won't work since polymorph specifically calls out size changes as not working when polymorphed. So, is it possible?

Note: I don't want to be a deinonychus, I'm asking specifically about medium tiger/dire tiger only.

You may not template your wild shapes.

Actually, what you can do is reduce your size first then wild shape. But you can't wild shape then reduce size.

But you can't directly change into a template tiger.

Reduce/Enlarge and then Polymorph would accomplish nothing. Most Polymorph effects specify a resulting size, not a relative change.

Stated another way, if a human and a gnome both Wild Shape into a Tiger; are they the same size Tiger?

Eventually you can wild shape into a Su which is similar.

Scarab Sages

You can wild shape into a medium Leopard, have some stripes instead of spots, and poof, you're a medium tiger.

I was going to suggest re-skinning, too.

Find an animal of the size you want with roughly the abilities you want, then ask permission to say it's a X-animal instead of a Y-animal.

It isn't even technically reskinning, as the medium cat entry tells you to use it for all medium cats, and includes leopards, panthers, pumas, mountain lions, and so on. Just say it's a small breed tiger and be done.

There is an exception here for the Mooncursed Barbarian. It needs to create stats for a medium tiger. I'm guessing in this case you would just reduce it's size and reduce it's natural attack dice by one step. I don't see anything else changing.
