I'm pretty sure i posted this once before, just cannot find the thread anymore, but if I fail on a parry attempt, does the attack still need too beat my AC?

Yes, it certainly does need to beat your AC. The parry doesn't reduce your AC if you fail, the attack just proceeds normally.

The enemies attack still needs to beat your AC to hit, yes.
