Looking for a water based spider

Advice

Developing an encounter for a scenario, and want to keep it as 'official' as possible. Are there any marine spiders in Paizo Bestiaries or other works? I searched Bestiary 1-3 but can't see anything.

Closest I can think of are thognorok qlippoths, but I doubt that's really what you're looking for.

You mean... like... an octopus?

So you're telling me you want to use a combination of a spider and an aquatic creature? In Pathfinder?

Dotting so I know which pages of the Bestiary to cut out of future GM's books.

Have you seen the grapple CMB on those things? Utterly terrifying.

Diving Spider. It has an underwater lair full of air. It uses hair on it's abdomen and a web sack to hold air so it can hunt underwater. Same stats as an L sized spider otherwise.

Just make an aquatic variant of whichever size giant spider you are looking for by applying the aquatic subtype. If it gives the spider a distinct tactical advantage, maybe bump it's CR by 1. Alternatively, make it an Elemental (Water) spider if you are looking for something a little more exotic.

Giant/crabs?

Yeah, B4 and B5 don't have them either. They'd likely just be a reflavored regular spider, with an EX water walk ability and possibly the amphibious quality.
