Is there a ranger archetype that could get a familiar?

Rules Questions

Not sure if this goes here or not, apologies if it doesn't.

But yeah question as above.

No, they typically get animal companions instead... I don't think there's any archetype that substitues an actual familiar

If you worship Besmara, you can swap out your animal companion for a familiar. That's about the only thing that comes to mind, beyond the obvious "getting it through feats" option.

is that just an alternate rule or trait? Could be exactly what I'm looking for.

I'm not sure how you'd classify that. But it is a rule and it's apparently legal in PFS.

Pfs legal? Wow that's a nice little thing that really helps, thanks.
