What exactly are the clear explanations? A player in a game i'm in is using the style with a dagger, but he is making an absurd amount of attacks. He explains that because of poor writing, Comet stacks with Shower in gaining attacks, meaning he gets 1 extra from Comet rather than Shower replacing Comet's ability. What would be the correct wording and use?

Well, on my reading of it, Startoss Shower activates "when you hit an opponent while using Startoss Comet."
Which I take to mean, Startoss Shower kicks in when you have made a second hit, and allows you to make 1 additional attack, +1 per 5 BAB you possess, against targets in range of your second target.
So a rogue with the startoss line at level 20 can hit a target, startoss comet into a second target within range of the first, and then startoss shower against four targets. He must have six targets standing at least decently close together to get all of those off, and that's at level 20. It's really not a big leap up on how many attacks you get for TWF in melee, when you think about it, and with TWF all of those attacks can be focused on one target.
It changes how Startoss Comet works, it doesn't stack with Startoss Comet. The total number of attacks would be 1 + 1 per 5 points of base attack bonus they possess. Additionally, the "foes that are within one range increment of all previous opponents" should limit that somewhat given that a dagger has a 10 foot range increment unless you have enemies bunching up.
How many attacks are they going for in your game and what BAB are they at?
Try for an 8th lvl character
Full BAB would be 8 and 3/4 BAB would be at 6 at level 8 which would have the same result. As written, they would get 2 attacks total with either style. 1 initial and then 1 additional, both at full BAB. This would all be a standard action, so they would be able to move as well.
This would mean that this feat has no benefit over Startoss Comet until BAB 10. Given that the prereq is BAB 4, the designers might have meant it as "The total number of [additional] attacks would be 1 + 1 per 5 points of base attack bonus they possess". But that is not how it is written.

If you have 5 BAB, you can make up to three attacks with the feat; once against your initial target, then up to two "bounces." At 10 BAB, you can make up to three "bounces." At 15 BAB, you can make up to four "bounces." And at BAB 20, you can make up to five "bounces."
Designer intent in this thread. My comment later on fixed his bounce math.

Well, that's still a long way off, though, as literally no part of the post makes sense. There was also an AI-written post about how Eidolons should wear armor, where apparently the AI copied text written for animal companions...
So right now, all the AI-infused spamming does is accompany their spam with misinformation.
Not to help the spammers, but it sounds like it'd be more believable if they were asking questions instead of trying to state facts that are wrong.
