I'm making a Bard whose primary Perform is Comedy. I know that the different types of Perform Skills aren't directly tied to the different Bardic Performances (outside being visual or audible), but if this Bard is using Inspire Courage, how would that be flavored coming from the Perform (Comedy) skill? Instead of telling an epic tale of great heroes passed, or being the group's hype soundtrack, I'm picturing Jim Gaffigan saying "Hooot Pockeeeetts" while his Barbarian friend howls with laughter and rips another man's spine out of his neck. Thoughts, anyone?

Be court bard. Tell mean jokes. Make enemy want death slightly more.

Spoofing the antics of the enemies you face, making light of dire situations, putting your allies at ease in the face of danger could all be aspects you could expand upon.

On the flip side, telling a bunch of "yo mama" jokes to the enemy can be quite infuriating. Real life story...

I once had a coworker who (humorously) picked on anybody and everybody he met. He had a whole littany of yo mama jokes. We just happened to work on the far side of bullet-proof glass from armored car truck drivers. One day this new driver came in to make a delivery and my coworker started in on him with his yo mama jokes. The poor delivery guy got so incensed we both thought he was going to draw his gun and start shooting! Thankfully, my coworker stopped his antics and the delivery guy cooled down.

Bottom line, never underestimate the power of yo mama jokes!

You can take cues from some superheroes who specialize in snark (Spider-Man, Deadpool, Plastic Man), read some of the stuff they do/say, that can give good direction.

Make a gnome prankster bard. Instead of just buffing your allies, you can also use the "mock" performance to debuff your enemies. My favorite moment with my prankster was telling an earth elemental "Yo mama was cubic zirconia!"

Inspire your allies by laughing in the face of danger.

This is the first time I have ever heard "take cues from deadpool" seriously.

"Whatever you do, don't look into my friend's eyes..." you tell the enemy fighting your party's rapier-wielding rogue. Enemy cannot help but glance at the ally's eyes as the rapier is driven into the enemy's gut.
"...his glance is rather PENETRATING"

"Are you familiar with Tordok's music?" you ask a guy fighting the party barbarian, just as Tordok bring's his earth breaker down on the enemy.
"He's had smash hit after smash hit!"

and so on, and so forth...

Bards do that with comedy all the time.

What? I read Friendship is Dragons... she's totally a bard!

Perform with puns. Puns so horribly groan-worthy that it makes your allies so furious with rage that they just have to hit somebody, and you're just making sure they're closer to the enemies than to you.

Grand Lodge

have a backup musical instrument that is horribly out of tune....and sing silly songs like Tiptoe througb the tulips...or something lame...and out of tune as well...or have some comic gags...a whoopee cushion under the barbarian is always good for a laugh...

I would be careful to not let the jokes your bard is telling go to far as to insult someone at the table but as far as bardic performance inspiring someone to kill, I think perform (comedy) could do that in a very bizzare but interesting way. I wonder if there's a Jester archetype out there?

Speaking as someone whose brother was permanently injured as a result of coworker harassment going to far, what your coworker was doing was downright deplorable. I hope either you or someone else reported him to the management of whatever company you worked for at that time.

Gallows humour, people often use humour to get through tough situations:
At least it's not going to eat you: not with that cologne!
