Any way to use magic to change a mount's species?

Hey everyone,

I like the Samurai class, but I don't like the list of mounts for medium Samurai (Horse and Camel).

I want to play a legal Samurai with a legal mount. BUT....

are there any magical items that changes a creature's species?

Any ideas?

Polymorph spells will do it. An easier way would be the monstrous mount feats.

Reincarnation, but I doubt it will serve as a mount after that.

Problem is Polymorph can not be made permanent and also can be dispelled.

Polymorph any object is permanent if the end form is close enough to the actual form. Dispelling is possible, but how often is someone going to hit a mount with dispel magic?
