But... but spiders are SO CUTE! Especially the one from the quote if it's the post I think it is.
It is deeply gratifying to find something you and I actually agree on. Truly.
THIS THREAD CONTINUES TO DO GOOD DEEDS!

This is the link I think.

Safety Bear has a weird and charming manner and always makes me laugh—even if I never quite get the joke. Safety Bear keeps us safe! Safety Bear 2016!
ULTRAGEEK's PbP looks pretty cool, too. I need to try a 5E PbP sometime. They appear to be maintaining a strong pace, which is probably the hardest part about being a PbP GM, and I wish them all the best in that game's continuation and eventual conclusion. :)
Just came back to this thread. Thanks, that made my day

KC, you've started a lot of silly threads I've quite enjoyed reading (and participating in), but this one isn't silly, and I think it might be your best.
I also am completely, utterly, and totally blown away that you're so young. I thought you were an old grognard in your 60s with a silly sense of humor!
Could you pass a cup of compliment, my good sir?

Master Pugwampi is a great and very funny alias that plays off of a classic Pathfinder running gag while also blending well with general chatter. Feros, meanwhile, has made great contributions to RPG Superstar (in which he is a many-times Champion voter), game chatter, and, most importantly, silly OTD banter. He's a funny guy with a creative posting style and a well-written campaign journal. Master Pugwampi is an obnoxious, luck-warping piece of s#, and I hope he gets tied to a rope connected to a stick to be wielded by some a&%@~ gnolls.
Trekkie, whose full name I don't feel like writing out, is full of cool homebrew ideas. They're very helpful and put lots of effort into their posting—just recently, I was impressed by their taking the time to research an author's adventures to help out another poster. Keep it up, Trekkie########! Star Trek is for nerds.
I would sooner die before complimenting tea. thegreenteagamer, on the other hand, is one of my favorite OTD rabblerousers these days, and I'm happy to say that I love exchanging barbs with him and his five thousand clone aliases. TGTG likes leaf coffee and that makes him a dumb fartface.
Limeylongears/Pulg/Slimy Schlongears is a mischievous devil and a deadly veteran of the OTD. Their posts maintain a constant streak of quality, and this community is better off with their sense of humor keeping things running. He is 81% Stalin.
Charles Scholz has been around for a very long time, but their greatest activity seems to be in the Forum Games section—and, curiously, the Dice Rolling thread. They are a great member of this community, and do a lot to keep the Forum Games section entertaining as all hell. They don't spend enough time on my Forum Games. Y'know, like that old forum favorite, "The Four Word Game".
Leandro Garvel makes smart and thoughtful posts on rules discussion threads, as well as everywhere else they post. I was surprised to see so many familiar posts on reviewing their posting history. They should post more often.
My personal headcanon has always been that a Witch's familiar teaches the Witch mystical secrets and tidbits of lore according to a metaphysical plan their specific Patron has for that Witch. So a Witch's Intelligence is clever but distinctly strange - their knowledge informed by their patron's philosophy or even whim.
This, for instance. This is a great way to think about the witch's familiar, and I'll likely be stealing it for my Ravenloft campaign. Leandro asked a dumb question. The answer is both. Obviously.
...
Oh, shoot! How did this happen? What could...what could have...hey, HEY, WHO INVITED THE PUGWAMPI?!

Kobold Cleaver, in the same way you get Jiggy and whoever you get Jiggy mixed up with, for the longest time I had a hard time distinguishing you AND those two, plus Comrade Anklebiter...and a few others. Possibly because I'm posting from my phone and I can't hover over aliases, but more probably because:
a:) there's just so many posters hereabouts, and
b:) I'm likely:
[i] too busy being self interested or,
[ii] forgetful, old(er) or insane
And it's not like you all had the same avatars anyway...
I too had no idea you were so young, nor that you have spent a decade or thereabouts here. I now want to go back and read some of your more youthful posts, and see just how precocious you were as a 13 year old. Or thereabouts.
Nor did I realise how much I have apparently missed. Sorry I've missed all that is Kobold Cleaver. Too long in the 3PP and Homebrew forums me thinks...

{whispers:} Actually, it's a poorly kept secret those "pugwampi braids" are really just gnoll armpit and backhair, braided, and sold to rubes distinguished adventurers.

And it's spelled "Reignvenloft".
| thegreenteagamer |
All joking aside, I don't know anything about the lore of Ravenloft, myself, otherwise I'd ask you to let me know when that game takes off. The general idea seems good, and as I mentioned in the "who on the forums would you like to game with", you were on my list...but it would be forced to waste the buildup of a massive lore on a player who literally knows nothing.
| Almonihah |
Well, now... I'm starting to recognize a few of these names... maybe I should poke my head out of PbP every now and again.
Edit: In seriousness, Kobold Cleaver, this is a really awesome thing you're doing, and you obviously put some work into researching people for these compliments. Consider yourself complimented in return!

Alright, time to play catch-up.
Sorry I've missed all that is Kobold Cleaver. Too long in the 3PP and Homebrew forums me thinks...
Maybe, but your presence there has not gone unnoticed! Oceanshieldwolf's posts are, in my opinion, a rare treat—he knows his house ruling, and I actually used one of FGP's products (the ossuarite) in one of my games recently, to great effect. I love reading his comments in the rules discussions and homebrew subforums.

Magehunter is a fine creator of character builds. I love a lot of their concepts, and they are one of those posters I would look to for advice when creating a character of my own.
lucky7 wrote:Hey, I was 13 when I started out here!Heck, I didn't even remember being 13 when I started out here. I don't think I even remembered being 30!
Now get out of my onions, you kids!
How has NobodysHome not posted here yet? He may be a grumpy old man, but sometimes I forget that. He has a delightfully...well, the word for the job is "perky"...style of posting. What I mean is that he posts with humor and exuberance, and livens whatever thread he's in. I was kind of disappointed to see he's not in any PbPs—it would be fun to see what sort of games he runs/characters he plays.
Well, now... I'm starting to recognize a few of these names... maybe I should poke my head out of PbP every now and again.

Fun fact: Being cold-blooded, kobolds do not blush. Instead, when flustered, they turn blue and lose all their teeth, kind of like smurfs.
In contrast to NobodysHome, Almonihah is one of those posters whose alias posts outnumber their normal posts by nearly 10 to 1. So I'm just going to focus on their PbPs here. I will say, though, that their contributions to the general PbP community are great—they clearly keep an eye on the whole set of subforums, not just their own games. Also, their summary of Reign of Winter is right on the money.
Almonihah runs some awesome, quirky games. Unfortunately, they seem to encourage very little roleplaying in them. Look at all those numbers! Not a dialogue tag in sight! Just awful!
Oh, wait, that's just a dice rolling thread. In seriousness, consider their solo Reign of Winter game, in which one dwarf must embark on a quest to save Christmas (that's what RoW is about, right? My players are still dealing with yetis and stuff). I'd love to read it—it looks like a great little saga. And then there's oh my god what is this this is AMAZING.
[to aide] Why the hell hasn't anyone told me about this before? What is WRONG with the Paizonians, Henry? What is wrong with them? I'll outlive all the bastards!
I had to show my kids photographic evidence before they would believe I was 13 once.
I said this on another thread, but Captain Yesterday and I did not start out amicably. No, our interactions began on a remarkably uncivil thread about dead children. Weird, right?
I just like how my first ever interaction with captain yesterday was actually an extremely unfriendly argument about dead babies that eventually got the whole thread locked. With anybody else, that would have been it—I was pissed at him and I figured I would never, ever get along with him after such an unpleasant debate. But weirdly, my interactions with him since that day have been nothing but positive, and gradually he won me over with his funny jokes and extreme numbers of aliases. Captain Yesterday and I have not argued since that day. He's a spooky cool guy.
Captain Yesterday is a super-active and super-friendly poster who always has an alias for the task—and if he doesn't yet, he will in five minutes. Since he seems to have arrived to the OTD fairly recently (though he's been on the forums a lot longer than that), he's brought new life to the forums, like a Manic Pixie Dream Girl dedicating her narrative existence to cheering up our brooding male writer protagonist. He has been clearly established as a devoted and loving parent with a great sense of humor about the evils of children. I've said it once and I'll say it again: He's a spooky cool guy.
Can't stand that captain_yesterday guy, though. What a punk.
