Given that the Campaign Clarifications (and Word for word in Additional Resources) says:
Page 103—Gunsmithing does not grant the ability to craft firearms, ammunition, or black powder. Rather, it allows the purchase of bullets, pellets, black powder, and alchemical cartridges (with 1 rank in Craft [alchemy]) at the listed price, but does not grant a discount on the purchase of any firearm. Resold items gained through this feat are worth half the actual cost paid, not half the regular market value for the item. No PC can purchase a gun without this feat, even if they possess the Amateur Gunslinger or Exotic Weapon Proficiency (firearm) feat.
And the season 8 Guide in Appendix 1-Character Creation Section 8- Skills says:
Ranks assigned to Craft skills are used only to perform
Day Job checks, not to craft mundane items, with the
following exceptions.
• Alchemists can use Craft (alchemy).
• Gunslingers can use Craft (gunsmithing).
• Investigators can use Craft (gunsmithing).
My question is what can gunsmiths craft?

One would assume Gunsmithing was to repair a damaged firearm from misfire damage, if such a thing can actually happen in PFS. I can't think of any other mundane item that could be made.
An Alchemist crafting Ghost Salt would be my new best friend. Half price other mundane alchemical items are just nice to have.

As a side-note, because its not clearly explained in the blurb, but the reduced cost for ammo is 1/10 the price. Nefreet posted a handy cost chart here.

That's done using the Gunsmithing feat, not a Craft skill

Considering that:
A. For the investigator getting Craft (gunsmithing) to be a copy/paste error (as several people have suggested), there has to be somewhere to copy from.
and
B. The gunslinger has never been particularly associated with Craft (alchemy) for anything other than alchemical cartridges, which:
- 1. Only requires one rank
2. Doesn't require a skill check
3. Falls under the Gunsmithing feat
4. Is explicitly called out under both the Additional Resources and the Campaign Clarifications documents as not allowing actual crafting, but rather purchasing said items at the same price it costs to craft them
Yeah, that would imply they were trying to do something with Craft (gunsmithing) and gunslingers, but it's not entirely clear what.

Or possibly trying to get Gunslingers to put more than 1 rank into Craft(Alchemy)?

To what end would anyone want to incentivize that? Besides, gunslingers tend to be strapped for skill points, anyways, and should probably be investing them into things that are more likely to come up during play.

Day Job rolls?
I'm just trying to guess what campaign management are thinking, same as everybody else.
