My character is a 8th level gestalt wizard 5-arcane savant 3/ Lore Oracle. I am capable of making knowledge checks of DC 70. However I have found that there are many things you can't find out just with high knowledge checks.
To this end I am taking leadership in order to get a cohort superspy to find the information I can't get with knowledge checks or divinations (seems like everyone in the world has non-dection) Sense I am level 8 and this is leadership the superspy will have to be level 6.
Can anyone give me some suggestions? It is a 20 point buy. I would like the spy to be charisma based.

Can I suggest something somewhat unusual?
Make your spy an Inquisitor with the Infiltrator archetype and the Conversion domain. It makes a very powerful wisdom-focused socialmancer character, with some nice abilities versus alignment detection and truth detection (hmm what shall I detect as today... lawful good!).
Having your primary score be wisdom will also boost your spy on Perception and Sense Motive which are key skills to a spy.

If you're permitted to stat out your henchmen to such a degree (rather than having the GM generate it), I concur that Inquisitor can be an unusual but effective way to create a spy. Ideally, construct him/her to qualify for the Master Spy prestige class from APG (should get to the 1st level in that prestige class about the time you hit 9th or 10th level), which is full of fun little benefits for an information-gatherer...

Perception and sense motive are good things, but they don't really matter if the spy is not able to get into the places were the usefully information is going to be hence why I want it to have a great buff and disguise. My wizard main character will be able to use it's great Linguistics in order to forge any papers or identifications.
Also gather information is diplomacy skill. I was sort of thinking a sort of James bond. This cohorts is going to have to be able to work on it's own with out party back up. So it needs to be able to ether be able to talk it's way out of trouble or run.
I should have mentioned it earlier but this is a sort of Kingmaker-like game.

Which is why I recommended urban druid. You have alter self at will and a mix of spells that will let you pretend to be either a wizard or a cleric. Just enough fighting capacity to pass as a low level fighter and if needed actual wild shape to sneak in as a dog or something. Going master spy later on would be a good idea.
