Slowest Character possible

Advice

Liberty's Edge

I am looking to make the slowest character possible to play PFS and take his experience slow. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas to decrease my land speed to the lowest possible. Right now I am thinking a gnome oracle with the lame curse wearing heavy armor. He would also get a mount so I am not a burden to the group. Does anyone have any better ideas?

That's pretty much dead on for PFS, I think. Note that if you want to stay that slow, you'll need to not hit an effective oracle level of 10, which would remove the penalty from your armor. Also remember that half your non-oracle levels increase your curse effective level.

The easiest way to avoid hitting effective curse level 10 is to go dual-cursed, and choose lame as the curse which never advances.

Peg legged halfling or gnome in stoneplate has a movementspeed of 5 ft.

I'm not sure why you want to gimp yourself, but check out Swim Fins

You'll also want to carry a Tower Shield without proficiency to make sure you can't hit things.

Just be aware a mount may be useless in a lot of scenarios so you really can't compensate with it

definitely learn ant haul in case your party has to carry you

Also as a race recommendation go Oread not Gnome. Gnome's have a flaw in that at least one scenario I can think of you can end up with an effective move speed of zero and end up stranding yourself.

I don't think you would end up stranded.

In some situations, your movement may be so hampered that you don't have sufficient speed even to move 5 feet (1 square). In such a case, you may use a full-round action to move 5 feet (1 square) in any direction, even diagonally. Even though this looks like a 5-foot step, it's not, and thus it provokes attacks of opportunity normally. (You can't take advantage of this rule to move through impassable terrain or to move when all movement is prohibited to you.)

Bloatmage from city of strangers?

Make sure it's a time oracle. That way you can technically control time, and have negative movement.

Add the effects of blindness in and you effectively can get a fifty fifty shot of being stuck. I've only seen it get that badly once and not in the level range I thought it would ever come up in.

What do you mean by that? Is that a special archetype or something?

Prestige class for spellcasters. I can't link to it at work, but if you own the book check it out.

Because if their extreme bulk I believe that they get reduced to 5' movement only and later move around by floating slightly off the ground every where.

Bloatmage is a prestige class for arcane casters, requiring a feat 'Bloatmage Adept', and the ability to cast 3rd level spells. The feat reduces your land speed, and levels of Bloatmage eventually lead to a further reduction.

When the early access hole was open for PFS, I used it to make a Bloatmage who started his prestige class levels at level 2... he was of the Taldor PFS faction (which later became Sovereign Court) with the vanity for having a noble title. His concept was complete when he was able to cast Overland Flight, and became a non-evil version of Baron Harkonnen, "The Flying Fatman". He was a lot of fun.

Scarab Sages

Wear a sea knife, have a land movement speed of 0. Done.

Shadow Lodge

Two peglegs!

arr and so forth

Sovereign Court

Get a porter vanity to carry you around, then as soon as combat starts he vanishes and there you are - "dropped" into combat!

Scarab Sages

Not sure of a boon exists, but I think merfolk have the slowest land speed of any PC race.

rpvdjoker, if you don't mind my asking, what is your purpose? Why do you want to make things difficult for yourself?

And for your party?

Seems to violate Wheaton's Law.

Why do you want to shoot yourself in the foot? (No pun intended.)
