The Battle Ladder questions

1. Does it count as a gnome weapon since it comes from the Gnomes sourcebook?
2. Since it says "You fight with a battle ladder like you would a regular quarterstaff,..." does that mean that you can use feats like quarterstaff mastery with it?

1) I believe only weapons with the word "Gnome" in it count as Gnome weapons. See Gnome Hooked Hammer as an example.

2) I think feats that apply to a quartstaff would apply, because it says you fight with it like a quartstaff. But I'm not 100% on that.

Not sure on 2, but I've asked about that book before regarding 1, and the official response is that they don't qualify as Gnome Weapons.

For a home game, I would second Claxon's statment. Though I don't really know about #2 in PFS.

The description says that they are "narrow, reinforced 4-foot ladders." So they should function as ladders, although not with the 10' length that the standard ladder has.
