Come and get me, Paired Opportunists! I'm an opportunist!

Rules Questions

Barbara the Barbarian shouts, "Come and Get Me!" She has combat reflexes and Paired Opportunist.
Rog the Rogue is standing next to her, knives out. He has combat reflexes, paired opportunist, and the opportunist rogue talent.

Brad the Bad Guy is kind of an idiot, so he attacks Barbara.

1) Boom! Come and Get me! triggers, so Barbara gets an Attack of Opportunity. She hits!
2) Boom! Rog's Opportunist and Paired Opportunist both trigger. Rog takes his own attack of opportunity, based off of his Opportunist talent.

Now what?
3) Does Barbara another attack of opportunity based off of Rog's Opportunist attack of opportunity, given her Paired Opportunist feat?
If she does,
4) Does Rog get another attack of opportunity based off of Barbara's Paired Opportunist feat, given her Paired Opportunist feat?

I'm tempted to say yes to 3, and no to 4, but I'm not sure.

Here is the relevant nonsense:

Come and Get Me wrote:
While raging, as a free action the barbarian may leave herself open to attack while preparing devastating counterattacks. Enemies gain a +4 bonus on attack and damage rolls against the barbarian until the beginning of her next turn, but every attack against the barbarian provokes an attack of opportunity from her, which is resolved prior to resolving each enemy attack.
Opportunist wrote:
Benefit: The rogue can make an attack of opportunity against an opponent who has just been struck for damage in melee by another character. This attack counts as an attack of opportunity for that round and can't be used more than once per round.
Paired Opportunists wrote:
Benefit: Whenever you are adjacent to an ally who also has this feat, you receive a +4 circumstance bonus on attacks of opportunity against creatures that you both threaten. Enemies that provoke attacks of opportunity from your ally also provoke attacks of opportunity from you so long as you threaten them (even if the situation or an ability would normally deny you the attack of opportunity). This does not allow you to take more than one attack of opportunity against a creature for a given action.

It's the last line of "Paired Opportunists" that gives me pause. What counts as a given action--does each attack of opportunity count as a separate action?

I believe Brad provokes AoO from Barb for attacking against CaGM, so provokes from Rog due to PO. Same trigger, Brad attacked Barb, so Barb gets no PO additional AoO from Rog.

If Barb damages Brad, then Rog can get their 1/rnd Opportunist AoO. However, Opp apparently doesn't specify that Brad provoked, just that Rog can AoO, so I don't think that PO triggers for Barb.

If we assume that taking an AoO assumes that it was provoked, then Barb does get a PO AoO, because her damaging Brad provoked from Rog, but I don't think that's RAW.

Ooh, good catch--thanks, Cult!

Barb uses Come and Get me.

Brad takes the +4 and attacks.

That provokes an Attack of Opportunity from Barb.

Roger gets an Attack of Opportunity because Barb got one.

Barb's AoO hits.

That triggers an Attack of Opportunity from Roger.

These are 2 different triggers. Paired Opportunist triggers when a Teammate gets an Attack of Opportunity. Opportunist triggers when someone hits and damages an opponent. So that's 2 AoOs: 1 because Barb got an AoO, the other because that AoO hit.

So, Roger got a differently-triggered Attack of Opportunity, that means Barb gets one from Paired Opportunist.

If Barb's AoO hits, Roger does not get another AoO from Opportunist, because Opportunist only allows 1/round.

Ride's over, but it was still a pretty good ride.

Pretty much all Attacks of Opportunity are provoked. "Provoked" is the the word used to mean the thing that one does to give somebody the opportunity to make an Attack of Opportunity.

Core Rulebook, Combat, Attacks of Opportunity wrote:
Provoking an Attack of Opportunity: Two kinds of actions can provoke attacks of opportunity: moving out of a threatened square and performing certain actions within a threatened square. Move... Performing a Distracting Act: Some actions, when performed in a threatened square, provoke attacks of opportunity as you divert your attention from the battle. Table: Actions in Combat notes many of the actions that provoke attacks of opportunity.

Other things that are not on that table, such as taking the +4 Attack and Damage bonus offered by Come and Get It and getting hit in the presence of a Rogue who has Opportunist, are not exceptions to the Core Rulebook rules describing Attacks of Opportunity. They are expansions upon it. They are just adding to the list.

This may or may not work.

There was a similar problem with Robilar's Stance and Karmic Strike from 3e. although they had slightly different triggers, it was ruled that the triggering EVENT was the same (an attack), even if the TIME they triggered was different (Robilar's was CAGM, triggered after the hit, Karmic Strike occured at the same time of the hit).

So, a warning...it could be ruled either way. TECHNICALLY, the triggers are different, but the the triggering event (an attack) being the same, they might rule its just one opportunity.

Given that Vicious Stomp and Greater Trip stack, I am not inclined to worry. I think this is square with both the RAW and RAI.

I'd say rogue gets 2 attacks. The trigger for the second one is the barbarian taking damage IMHO.
