Galt versus Inevitables and Pharasma

So, Galt has guillotines that will store the souls of those they kill inside of them. What defenses does Galt have in place to stop things like Inevitables, Psychopomps, and clerics of Pharasma from kicking their butts and taking the souls back? I mean, it's not like they have a stable government or anything, so would they really be able to organize a good enough defense against such gross violations of the Death Goddess?

I can't really think how the practice of basically stealing the souls of almost everyone in their country has gone unpunished for so long.

"Courage Heart, the herald of Milani, is currently lobbying the Steward of the Skein to join her crusade against the final blades of Galt: to free the souls of all those trapped within those nefarious guillotines. Her argument is that the blades are preventing souls rightly ascending to Pharasma's Boneyard. So far, the Steward has made little reaction to her proposal."

There are also a few level 10+ Pharasmin Clerics in Osirion who should probably do something about all that. If there were stats for any prominent Gray Gardeners, I would tell you how impossibly easy it should be for the Pharasmins to float across the Inner Sea and stomp those cheese-eating surrender-monkeys.

"So long"? I'm sorry, a century is not "so long" to someone Pharasma's age. When they've been doing it for thousands of years, then we'll get back to you on something that's been going on for ages.

Besides, we've got bigger threats to the integrity of the River of Souls than some idiots trapped in some stupid knife that any idiot could figure out how to break. That bloody fallen Psychopomp and her damnable hidden corruptions...

Yup, on the cosmic scale, final blades rank very low on the scale of issues Pharasma has to deal with.

You have no idea.

I guess I'm just looking at Galt compared to the Pathfinder Tales series, where Pharasma sends an inquisitor when one soul is stolen from the river of souls

That's what the guy paid the church to do. :-)

Fair, but that soul was judged and on it's way. These souls hadn't even gotten that far. She knows, but they didn't enter under her "direct" protection, I guess.

There will be a curb stomping later, though. Rest assured.

It's like the undead. Followers of Pharasma do what they can, but can't be everywhere at once. Even the popular gods have trouble enforcing their will on 10% of the population.

Surrender monkeys was 20th century. Not revolutionary time.

Just sayin'

"Cultured warmachines" isn't a very demeaning nickname.
