Help with a 8th Level feat for a Two-Handed Fighter

Advice

Silver Crusade

Hi, there just need a little hand, what's a good feat for my friends Two-Handed Fighter to take at level 8, he already has most of the basic two-handed fighter feat e.g Power, Furious Focus, weapon focus etc.

Improved Critical, if his weapon of choice has a threat range better than 20.

There are a lot of good Advanced Weapon Training options in the Weapon Master's Handbook. Taking the Advanced Weapon Training feat is almost certainly worth it, unless he has already hit his once-per-every-five-levels limit.

More specifics regarding his build would make it possible to give more specific advice.

A feat for level 8 is generally Greater Weapon Focus for you weapon of choice, any help for itératives is good in my point of view, however, it can depend of you build...
For intimidation build, it coudl be good to have Cornugon Smash (level 6 mini)and Hurtfull ( level 7 or 8) in combo, For a Reach Build, Disruptive could be an option, with the step up line..
I do not recommend the Improved Critical (Sorry Fuzzy-Wuzzy), it a feat tax for THF and better take a Lvl 9 Critical Focus for the critical line.
The Advanced Weapon training feat opens a lot of good options for THF, Difficult swings to avoid 5ft steps, cut from the air / spellcut for defence against magic, weapon material mastery if tha campaign you're playing imply special materials...

Really, Yondu? If he's two-handing, say, an elven curve blade, he goes from 18-20 to 15-20. That's a great range.

19-20 on a x3 or x4 weapon is no joke, either.

Damage-wise 18-20 is about the same DPR as x4, and responds to improved critical similarly. The advantage of the wider threat weapons is to benefit from all of the effects/feats that trigger on dealing a crit.

I think that it's more interresting to invest in the case of THF in keen enchantment than taking a feat for it, but it is only my point of view, some players prefer taking another + 1 Weapon Ability for their weapon.

He is the Two-Handed Fighter Archetype, with a +1 Holy Falchion, so 18-20 Crit range.

You definitely want Improved Critical then. 15-20 crits are sorta ridiculous.

Because the Cost to add Keen is now so High I highly suggest Improved Critical.

Not the most exciting but it basically threaten a critical 1 out of 3 attacks. It will be a significant increase in your damage.

After that I recommend Critical focus and holding on till you can start picking up Critical feats. I prefer the ones that don't have a save. Why give them even a chance to resist it?

I am a fan of Blind-Fight. Once you start getting into higher levels sometimes vision fails you. It hurts even worst if your the main damage dealer and your doing nothing cause you keep missing. You can always Get blind Fight through 8,500gp by getting a Incandescent Blue Sphere and putting it in a Wayfinder. It also nets you +2 wisdom to bump your will save. But many people prefer Clear spindals or Dusty rose prism for using in the Wayfinder.

In this case, it is definitively better to take improved critical, adding a Keen Ability in your already costy Falchion is too expensive...

this one is better that keen enchantement
perhaps a weapon mastery feat

Improved Crit was my choice.

Improved Critcal is pretty much always preferred to Keen for a fighter (with their abundant feats). On the other hand, adding +1 to a weapon (+1 to hit and damage) compares well to Greater Weapon Focus (+1 to hit only).

Critical Focus works well at 10, and then you can start looking at crit feats at 11, or Critical Versatility if your fighter is Human.

Scabbard of Keen Edges is a very expensive magic item to get Keen just three times per day - and it is a standard action to use it ("on command").

In that price range the OP should be looking towards Gloves of Dueling.

Well, Great Cleave and Vital Strike feats if you haven't gotten those already.

How about Master Craftsman, then Craft Magic Arms and Armor, then customize your gear?

You have a Crit build. People said Improved Crit and Crit Focus already. So, take a level in Cavalier, and take Outflank or Seize the Moment teamwork feat. They trigger Attacks of Opportunity for you and all your friends whenever any of your friends that have the Teamwork Feat of your choice--and they all have it when you have a level in Cavalier--confirms a Crit.

There are some other splendid Crit Focus Feats like Bleeding Crit, Blinding Crit, and Tripping Strike.
