Dex to damage for natural attacks?

The Exchange

So I am thinking about taking feral mutigen on my alchemists and focusing on dex, I'm going to take weapon finesse so I get dex to hit but I'm trying to see if there is any way to add dex to damage with natural attacks. I'm planing on this being my "oh s@*# button" for when I find myself stuck in melee.

Without multiclassing? Agile AoMF. With specific natural weapons you can apply slashing grace, but it probably won't be worth it.

Why go Dex route? (Just asking) I went Str for mine and worked out very well. I elected to play first two levels as drunken barbarian with lesser fiend totem for gore attack and then went rest of the way with alchemist. Pick up furious amulet of mighty fist and upgrade as you go.

Yeah, an Agile AoMF is your best bet. 3 levels of Unchained Rogue would get you dex to damage with a single type of natural weapon and is your second best bet.

Slashing Grace is a terrible idea. It would only apply to a single natural attack, not type of attack, and cease to function if you attacked with any other attack that round.

Because he's only picking this up as a backup option for when he's forced into melee. I assume he's bomb focused under normal circumstances.

The main reason I'm going dex is because the character is already in a game and I'm thinking of making him a little less of a one trick pony but when making the character I dumped strength (9) but have a pretty decent dex and mutagen and I will have an amazing dex.

Agile AoMF is pretty much the only way

Ok. Agree then that Agile AoMF is your option.

Where does it specify Unchained Rogue's Weapon Finesse Training is limited to one single type of natural weapon? Animals, like the leopard with weapon finesse use it on all their natural weapons, so just wondering why it would be different for PC's natural weapons.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Dex-to-hit doesn't have any special qualifiers and you get it with all of your natural attacks (since you're just getting Weapon Finesse as a bonus feat), but dex-to-damage you only get with one weapon because the rogue class features states you have to select one weapon.
