Versatile Channeler question

Rules Questions

I'm pretty sure this has been asked many times, but I'm to lazy to look for it, so I figured I'd ask since I was storming this idea for a while now involving the paladin/anti-paladin channel energy.

now I know that they both get the channel positive/negative energy, but can they get or invest into the versatile channeler feat from a neutral god, ie: Pharasma?

If so, would I need to be an archtype pally/anti-pally? Or can I just be the vanilla class?

Not sure, I'm eying that feat for a life oracle build. Don't think it would work though. It lists specifically the requirements are channel energy class ability, and neutrally aligned cleric. Not just being able to channel.

Note: This feat only applies to necromancers, neutral clerics who worshipneutral deities, or neutral clerics who do not worship a deity

Normally feats aren't class specific. For instance it could have bardic performance but some archtypes it will allow more than just bards to have it.

This feat however lists necromancer and cleric specifically. So oracle and paladin are out, I'm afraid.

That's what I thought after reading it. Wasn't aware necromancers could channel.

Grand Lodge

They get a specific channel that only works for Turn Undead or Command Undead. For them picking up Versatile Channeler just lets them grab the feat (Turn/Command) that they didn't pick at level 1, as they can't actually channel to harm or heal.
