Hi. Been awhile!
Injured my knee at work- put on modified lite duties. Went in for re-assessment today, and put back on lite duties for another 28 days, plus told to begin some physio to aid in recovery. My back-up at work HATES doing my job- he only took the post as back-up thinking he'd get teh money, but as a back-up never have to actually DO the job. He's not gonna be pleased, especially when he finds out that, not only is he covering for my lite duty shifts, but 28 days just happens to co-inside with the number of days I have to go before I'm off on my week vacation in June...when he'll hafta sit in...as my back-up while I'm off..
I got a week scheduled off for every month of the summer. There's a good chance he might be so choked by September that I'll need to train a new vict...er...back-up come the fall.
>evil grin<
Poor prima donna..

I'm sorry to hear that you are so busy John, but do what you have to do! We'll miss you!
It's not like I'm leaving. If one eleven-hour shift is tiring, imagine how exhausting a full week of them would be. Week after week, for about a month. Combined with insufficient amounts of sleep.

Hey all. Dropping in to say hi. Job hunt in full effect. Trying to stay on top of things. Did take the time to watch Guardians of the Galaxy II.
My son got to see GotG2 already. On a school field trip! :/
I'm jealous. I never had field trips THAT cool when I was a kid!
(Oh, yeah, and I haven't gotten to see the movie yet either.) ;P
Luck with the hunt Pat! Be careful, those good jobs are wiley creatures! ;)

I saw both Willow and Never Ending Story as school trips...

In the hospital the workers from some departments can trade their shifts with other people so they make a double shift (14 hours) but they do so to get some days off later.

With a Security career, it's like that, but without the days off later part.

Patrick Curtain, I would suggest applying at Wolfram and Hart. I use them all the time.

Reminds me, I might've stolen some 'inspiration' from that for my thursday game. The players saw 2 people transformed into a Bull & Stag fighting, upon later investigation they found the spells cast came from a Captain Beefheart record.
¬_¬ I don't think any of them got the pun, yet.

It was a balmy....something or other here in Houston today. Maybe upper 80s? I honestly didn't bother to check. We had clouds though, and a bit of rain.
I do know it was 74 degF at 5:30 this AM. I always check before helping the children pick out their clothing for the day. Occasionally, we can have mornings that are cool enough they want to wear long pants. Although we'll see less and less of that as summer comes on.
