Class Deck Unique Cards

Is there a running list anywhere of the unique cards in the class decks (I.e. Those cards not appearing in the base sets)?

I want to add some into my box for added flavor without adding duplicates of cards already in the main set.

Thanks in advance for any info!

There is not as far as I'm aware, but you can cross-reference the list of cards in your class deck with the list of cards included in the box to see where the unique ones are for that particular set. Card lists are available as a free download and are linked from the product descriptions of each product.

Well "unique cards in the class decks" is a temporary status because any new product may make a card not unique anymore.

This said, as of today (and since all that info comes from official lists posted on Paizo site I hope Vic will consider that list acceptable), my list looks like :

(*) refers to cards that appear in different classe decks but not in the boxes or character add-ons

I only list boons as all characters, roles and tokens cards are obviously unique

Fresncois, thank you very much. You Rock!!!!

Skizzers, your suggestion is what I was figuring I'd need to do if nobody had yet compiled such a list. Thanks for your reply.

I've been playing RotR for quite some time now and recently decided to buy some class decks to shuffle them into the box for more diversity.
What is the most efficient way (in number of class decks) to get some new unique cards for every kind of boon?

Motivated by this thread and the card lists I had access to in the shop, I bought the monk and paladin decks (I love monks and the paladin deck seemed to cover divine, weapons and armors quite well, being a bit more diverse than the barbarian). Since the alchemist and oracle card lists are not available at the moment, I wanted to ask if the alchemist deck covers arcane spells and other unique boons reasonably well?

A list would be much appreciated!

In general, is there a pattern to when character sheets and deck lists are available, compared to date of publishing of the decks?

The first seven class decks have a lot of overlap with RotR as far as I can tell, so I think those are not very cost-efficient in terms of unique cards, and the alchemist seems to be the first class that uses arcane since then. Since I don't live in the US, it takes some time to ship the decks to me and I'd prefer to decide this earlier rather than later (playing with 3 parties atm and would like to incorporate the new decks).

Thanks in advance!

I don't have the Alchemist deck, but I read a comment that the deck has more unique cards that most class decks. I know it was influenced by Mummy's Mask, so it will have cards you won't see in Runelords.

Some of the cards that are "unique" in the Oracle and Alchemist class decks are cards in Mummy's Mask. So they are "unique", but only because we haven't seen the ones in Mummy's Mask yet.

I maintain that the best part of this list is that Balazar's Splendiforous Hat is an ALLY...

While I'm sure that some cards from the oracle and alchemist deck belong to MM, in my situation, novelty is everything outside of RotR, so even the base set cards from S&S and WotR in the paladin and monk class decks did a great job to diversify our game.

I was just happy to see stuff like the researcher as an alternative to the sage, for example, although I guess it is just as common in WotR. I guess that is also the reason why the paladin deck had marginal more new cards than the barbarian deck, since it probably draws cards from WotR while the barbarian uses quite a lot of weapons from RotR.

Anyway, if someone could give me a card count on the boons not found in RotR per category or even a list, I'd probably be easily convinced to order the alchemist deck. My main concern is just whether the alchemist deck covers both firearms and arcane spells well, everything on top will be bonus.

First, I don't think I'd consider the promo cards from the Iconic sets in this category since they themselves are supposed to be unique.

As far as cards that are in base sets that appear in class decks, you have to understand that a lot of these products are developed on different time tables. So cards that were developed for MM might actually be in the Alchemist and Oracle decks even though the class decks appear at retail far earlier than the base set. The development cycle for Class Decks is far shorter than the cycle for base sets. But that also means that once cards are released for a Class Deck that appear in a base set, those cards get "locked" more or less.

We've also noticed that spells that were called one thing are now called another as they change slightly from older base sets and Class Decks to later ones.

Although I agree with everything you wrote, I don't understand the connection to what I wrote before - could you clarify?

I probably should have used the term 'novel' instead of 'unique' - when I spoke of unique cards, I actually meant cards that I don't have access to.

All I meant to say is that while regulars on the boards probably measure the novelty of cards in terms of 'not being available in any published product before', my notion of novelty boils down to 'not being in RotR'.

Cards from MM are new to everyone since the base set is not yet released, but I'd also happily buy a class deck with a lot of cards from S&S or WotR, as long as it covers new arcane spells and firearms to give my group new things to draw from the box.

I'm confused by your use of the term "firearms". Do you mean "weapons"?

S & S has guns. I don't think any released class deck, even the Alchemist deck, has guns in it.

I'm sorry - yeah, I meant guns. Motivated by the link Mike helpfully provided,

Mike Selinker wrote:

I assumed that all the guns in S&S had the firearm trait (given that I never played S&S). And since this card is in the alchemist class deck preview, I'm wondering if the deck contains a lot of guns and/or firearms, which is one reason why I'm asking for a list in this thread.

Since the monk deck has a lot of finesse melee weapons and the paladin deck has a lot of strength melee weapons, I thought guns would be a nice addition for ranged characters.

While we are at it, thanks for the awesome game mike!

I said this back in August:

In addition to the new characters, roles, and tokens, most new class decks have about 10 "new" cards, though it does vary from deck to deck—Monk and Barbarian are about double the average.

That said, the concept of "new" is squidgy. The Paladin deck has a couple of cards that will appear in Wrath 6 the following month, and the Alchemist deck is about *half* new, though most of those cards will later appear in Mummy's Mask—if you discount those, he's back to average. And as with the first set of class decks, there's cross-pollination of "new" cards between them as well, so your answer to whether a certain card in the Alchemist deck is "new" might depend on whether or not you have the Barbarian deck.

Thanks for the answer and your involvement in the game, vic. I'm tempted to buy the alchemist deck, but I'd still like to cross reference its card list with the cards I already own to see whether I would rather wait for the witch deck.

Is there any ETA for the card lists of the class decks in the store?
I'm sure there is a lot going on right now, and I understand that the character sheets are delayed since they are done by another department and probably a lot of work, but I'm confused why there is a delay for the plain list.

My uneducated guess would be that they are very easy to compile since the data is already there, and they greatly help customers to decide.

I'm sorry if this comes of as rude, especially since I'm really enjoying the game, but I'm a little bit frustrated and would like to better understand the situation.

I just read that the card lists are also part of the community package team?

That explains the situation, given that they appear to have a big backlog and process that in order.

Sorry for being impatient then. I thought making the card list would be the task of an independent team that makes the product description in the store.

Cards lists have been posted for Oracle, Alchemist and Inquisitor (although the link for Inquisitor is wrong but you can easily fix it with the obvious exact product number)

I'm going through all the stuff I've printed out since we started playing the game, and I have class deck lists for many of the early class decks -- Fighter, Wizard, etc. They have the 'watermark' footer with my name and the date, so I must have downloaded them from here, but I can't figure out from where. They aren't in the PDFs for the class deck characters.

Two posts up I see Frencois saying that more recent class decks have been posted. I know I must be missing something obvious. Where are all these lists?

thanks

Card Lists (i.e an inventory of all the cars) are now on the product pages. Bard Class Deck

Deck Lists (i.e. a list of the cards you can record what is in your deck) are part of the Character Sheets.

They should be part of the Community Use Package: Pathfinder Adventure Card Game Character Sheets download.

Why am I not surprised that Hawkmoon got in there first?

Ah, that's it. Thanks!
