I have no doubt this has been covered before, I just cannot find it.
The question is: Can you as a Core Class load and fire mundane alchemical item (Acid, Alchemist's Fire, Holy Water, Oil, & Thunderstone) from a standard sling. I am not finding a ruling one way or the other in the core book or here on the forums.
FYI: Not PFS so rules are a little flexible.
Thank You for any help.

There was a sling style introduced just now that allowed this very thing.
Look for sling under combat style feats and your searching will be over.
Specifically Slipslinger Grenadier and Slipslinger Bombardment from Weapon Master's Handbook.
Note that the Slipslinger Style feat requires the warslinger halfling alternate racial trait.

There is also a launching crossbow, though that obviously isn't a sling.
Point is there are ways to accomplish the general idea you have. But no, you can't do it with only the basic sling. You need either feats or special equipment.

Of course, if you're talking Core-only and not just a Core class, the rules are very different (or, to be precise, nonexistent). The presence of something like a "flask thrower" or "bomb launcher" nixes it in the same way feats that allow you to use Bluff to feign death eliminate the possibility of doing it without those feats.
But without all that non-Core stuff? There's no rule. It's entirely legal or illegal depending on the GM's ruling.
Personally, I'd allow a PC to do it with a reskinned bomb launcher. Call it a sling and assume the extra money is a sort of "early tax" for buying more spherical bottles.

Non-core rules are fine, I'm just trying to come up with a way for my low level wizard aasmiar to get some spells (Brimstone and Amber Globes namely) and swarm killing splash weapons a little greater range other then thrown.
So what I'm seeing is I'm going to need to spend a feat, rules as written.
If you're going for non-feat, take a look at Alchemical sling bullets.
Now you're targeting normal AC and get no splash damage but get sling range and it'll still work on swarms. It's about your only non-feat option. Heck, it's even PFS legal.
