So after a few month hiatus my group and I are getting back together and playing again. The designated GM decided to kick it off with a bang by finaly doing a Gestalt campaign.
We've never done a gestalt game before and I decided I'd try something new and decided on a Geokineticist/Barbarian Dwarven earthbender build that sounded like fun.
So are you guys up to help me theorycraft/build this guy with me?
It's a level 5 start with a point rolls system(which I havent done yet since I'm at work) plus something we call a hero feat we get at levels 1,5,10,15 & 20 that can be used to skip one feat pre-req with gm approval (as long as its not too ridiculous he usually lets most anything through ).

You'll be very tough. Are you rolling stats or point-buying them? Either way, get the highest con you can, and then the next higher should be DEX and strength. You don't really care for mental stats, other than WIS for will saves (and dwarf helps with that)
If you manage to convince your GM that DR stacks, you'll trully be invulnerable.
If you are still open to other combinations and character concepts, kineticist/(unchained) rouge would also be a good gestalt: your level in d6 damage when you manage to land a sneaky blast, and you depend only on DEX and CON (no strenght needed).

I was actually building one of these myself but I'm making a Ghoran Earth-Barb. Calm Stance is a great addition for when you are blasting and want the extra HP buffer! See if you can't talk up Mad Magic working with it as the Unchained Barb no longer gets Moment of Clarity as Calm Stance now does what it used to but better.

It's funny; I just finished working on a Mythic Barbarian 1/ Kineticist 19 project, and the result was very fun.
I would suggest taking Urban Barbarian for your class, to get access to the Controlled Rage feature (It allows you to boost any physical to some degree, instead of just Str+Con, and permits thinking while raging.) Otherwise, you could consider playing a kineticist built to melee, and go heavy armored, (There is a Barb archetype, but I forget what it's called).
My preference was the Urban rage idea, but for a Dwarf, making the two toughest classes in the game Gestalt together with the toughest race should probably have all efforts be made to be tanky.

You're durable enough as a dwarven kinitecist that the d12s from barbarian are just gravy.
Do you want a lot of natural attacks? A Skinwalker Ranger can get 5 by level two, and then Kinetic Fist adds extra damage to that. If you still want rage powers a ranger archetypes trades out favored enemy and combat style for them, letting you take the Beast Totem line for Claws, Natural Armor, and Pounce.

Its been suggested before as a dip for kineticists and the consensus i have seen is that Rage prevents you from using Kineticist abilities as they are spell like and require concentration. If your GM is hand waiving that then there isnt much more to do than just say you are gestalting barbarian. CON and DEX and nothing else really matters. Every feat choice will be the same as a baseline Kineticist for most of the game and then at later levels you can go for extra rage powers to boost DR and HP. do you want to go for a melee focus or a ranged one?

I covered a lot of the basics of the combo in my guide on Kineticist dipping. So, having looked extensively at both:
1: Range does not work normally in a Rage. You will have to ask the GM for access to that as Spell-Like Abilities cannot normally be used. RaW does not, however, explisately ban melee infusions unless you choose to read then as requiring focus.
2: Dex can be unnecessary. "But my Kinectic Blasts!" True, you can't hit with uninfused blasts. But, there are Kinetic Blade and Kinetic Fist infusions out there as well as plenty that don't use a attack roll or that target touch AC. Dropping Dex hurts, but it also heals you from having to take several feats.
3: Take a look at the Stalwart Defender PrC. It is actually really effective to go half Barbarian and half Defender because of the way Kineticists play when they gather power or switch hitting style.
4: Earth is your best friend. It gives a great passive resistance (though keep lack of stacking in mind) and a great set of infusions at higher levels that mesh well with Str. builds.

If you're not dead set on barbarian, have you thought about a kin//fighter build? You could go 2h fighting STR focus with kinetic blade and fighter feats. Earth -> water -> aether will give you the best defenses to survive melee and make you a tanking beast. DR, free floating shield while going 2H, and a regenerating temp hp.

I wasn't too set on barb and fighter/stalwart defender does sound really good. Now what archetypes synergize well? I was thinking mutaegen mauler. But like I said, i havent played in awhile and I need to get back into the swing of things.
