Pick up the Distant Worlds sourcebook - it specifically has advice for adventuring throughout the solar system.

I would think so, but it sounds like kind of a high level place, especially given how unfriendly the environment is for PC's.

I think their is a "pet" population of non-undead Eoxians mentioned in Distant Worlds. That's about the only source I can think of for PC style characters, if you want to have the party originate there.
